Trinity to host hymn sing
Trinity Church at Dublin Hill will host a hymn sing on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m., featuring Everett Warrington, Ronnie Lynch, Bob Littleton and Dan Walker.

Fall festival planned
The Church of God of Prophecy, US 13 N. and Dorothy Road, Delmar, is holding a fall festival on Saturday, Oct. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. A yard sale will be featured and food will be available.

Asbury plans homecoming
Asbury United Methodist Church, US 9 near Sussex Tech, will host homecoming services on Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Sterling Green, district superintendent. Music will be provided by Shelly Hudson, the Veasey family and Chick and Darlene Smith.

Homecoming at Portsville set
Portsville United Methodist Church will celebrate its 53rd annual homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 2 p.m. The church is located 3 miles west of Laurel at the intersection of Portsville Road and Dogwood Lane. Pastor Rich Walton will officiate. The service will feature music by "The Lights of Home," Tammy Driscoll, the reverends Reed and Ruth Morris, and Sam Hearn.

Yom Kippur services planned
The Seaside Jewish Community will hold Yom Kippur services at All Saints church, 11 Olive Ave., Rehoboth Beach. Sunday night service, Oct. 8, will be at 7 p.m.; Monday morning service, Oct. 9, will start at 10 ; Yizkor service at noon; Ne'ilah (Closing the Gates) service will be at 7 p.m. There will be a breaking of the fast at Kupchicks Restaurant on the Bay in Lewes following Ne'ilah service. Speaker to be from Kenya
Jericho Fellowship International welcomes the Rev. Francis Ranogwa of Eldoret, Kenya, as speaker on Oct. 10, 7 p.m., at Mt. Olivet Church, Seaford. Ranogwa is the regional director for Jericho Fellowship in Africa. Ethel Williams will be the master of ceremonies. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. For details, call 629-5654.

Gospel fest set for Saturday
Christian Community Council will present its third annual Gospel Festival Saturday, Oct. 7, at Collins Avenue Park in Seaford, from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. Master of ceremonies will be radio personality Lee Michael of Heaven 600 AM in Baltimore. Macedonia plans homecoming
Macedonia AME Church, North and Clarence streets, Seaford, will hold its annual homecoming service, Sunday, Oct. 8. The 11 a.m. speaker will be the Rev. B. Leslie James and the Rev. Dayland Greer, pastor of Dickerson Chapel AME Church in Millsboro, will speak at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served.

Mt. Calvary to honor youth
Mt. Calvary AME Church in Concord will celebrate its Young People's Department Sunday, Oct. 8. Speaker will be the Rev. Bernard Holland of New Hope Assembly Church in Salisbury, Md., and the University of Delaware Gospel Choir will perform. Dinner will be served at 4 p.m. in the dining hall and the service will begin at 5 p.m.
