Concert in the Park
Seaford Main Street will hold its final concert in the Concerts in the Park series on Thursday, Sept. 20. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature "Just Forgiven," the duo consisting of Robin Marine and Rob Harman. As always, there will be no cost for this concert. Come out and enjoy an evening in beautiful downtown Seaford listening to the contemporary Christian sounds of "Just Forgiven" - it's fun for the entire family!
Elks Soccer Shoot
All children under the age of 14 are invited to participate in the Soccer Shoot Competition to be held at Seaford Elks Lodge #2458, on Saturday, Sept. 22, 1 p.m. Please come early for registration.
First place winners of the Lodge competition will advance to the District competition in Salisbury, Md., on Oct. 6 where successive first place winners will advance through State, Regional and National competition. This is an Elks national program similar to the Elks National Hoop Shoot competition and all children are encouraged to participate at no cost to the children or parents.
Refreshments will be provided following the competition.

AAUW to meet Sept. 26
The Seaford Branch of AAUW is holding its first dinner meeting at the Seaford Golf & Country Club on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m. Janet Messick will speak about her travels in Japan and the Aerospace and DT&CC Scholarship recipients will be attending the meeting. All members are encouraged to invite prospective members to join us for the evening.
Seaford High Open House
Seaford Senior High School is hosting its Fall Open House on Wednesday, September 26, at 7 p.m.
Dr. Ken Madden, Jr. will be providing a short update to parents on the high school's Middle States Accreditation visit this year. He will also provide information on strategies that parents can use to help their child's success on the path toward graduation.
The faculty will have displays set up for parents to view student work, curriculum standards, and activities that students pursue in their courses. Faculty will also have information available on their expectations for students, how to contact them to work on student success, and methods that the home can use to help promote effective study habits there.
We cordially invite all parents to attend. The students of parents who attend will be eligible for special treats in the cafeteria in the coming weeks of school.
