Laurel Library Groundbreaking
The Laurel Public Library’s Groundbreaking Ceremony will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 21, at 3 p.m., at the “old” soon to be “new” library, 101 E. 4th Street, rain or shine.

Casino Night in Laurel
American Legion Post 19, on Millsboro Road, Laurel, will hold a Casino Night on Sept. 25, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admission is $5 with free beverages, free oyster sandwiches and free food.
Fall Festival at Kings
Kings United Methodist Church on Gordy Road, Laurel, annual Fall Festival, Saturday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, with gospel music all day featuring The King’s Ambassadors and Sara McWilliams. There will be a special “Blessing of the Harvest.” There will be a petting zoo, kids’ crafts, barrel train rides, fire engine rides, straw maze, and a special stagecoach pulled by miniature horses. There will be vendors, a yard sale, tradesman, antique tractors, farm tools, a silent auction and handmade baskets, and many other activities. Oyster sandwiches as well as homemade ice cream, a bake sale, and many other homemade food items.

Laurel Lioness Basket Bingo
Laurel Lioness Club basket bingo with Longaberger baskets, Tuesday, Sept. 28, Laurel Fire Hall, doors open at 6 p.m.; games start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance; $25 at the door. Door prizes.
