Chicken buffet planned
A fried chicken buffet will be Saturday, Sept. 16, 2 to 6 p.m. at Bethany Church, Lowes Crossroads near Millsboro. Admission for adults is $7.50 and for children, $3. Carryouts will be available for $7.50. A bake table will be set up.

Boxing Champion at Christ UM Church
Middleweight boxing champion Dave Tiberi will speak Sunday, Sept. 17, at Christ United Methodist Church, Laurel. During the service, which will mark Bulldog Sunday, members of the Laurel High School football team will be honored. The service will start at 11 a.m.

Service set for Old Christ
All Saints Episcopal Church of Delmar will hold its annual service at Old Christ Church in Laurel on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 11 a.m. The Rt. Rev. Wayne Wright and the Rev. John Desaulniers will celebrate Holy Eucharist.

Centenary antique show set
The 48th antique show of Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel, will be Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 26 and 27. The show starts at 10 a.m. each day.
Lunch will be served both days, starting at 11 a.m., consisting of homemade vegetable soup, chicken salad and ham sandwiches, and platters. A ham and oyster fritter dinner will be served Tuesday, 4 to 7 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $8 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12 and free for children under 6.
St. Luke's sets fall schedule
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Seaford, announces its fall schedule. Sunday services are held at 8 a.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite I, and at 10:15 a.m., Holy Eucharist, Rite II. Sunday school begins at 9 a.m.
Vestry members will meet Saturday, Sept. 23, in St. Luke's parish house from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to discuss the coming year.
On Sept. 24, the fall ingathering for the United Thank Offering will be held. The UTO envelopes will be received at each service.

Gethsemane to celebrate fall
A Fall Harvest Day will be held at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Reliance, Saturday, Sept. 23, 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. This event will include an attic sale, crafts, baked goods and a food booth with scrapple sandwiches, hot dogs and homemade soup.

The church is 5 miles west of the Nylon Capital Shopping Center at the corner of Delaware 20 and Woodland Ferry Road. Call 629-2862 for more information.
