On Saturday, Sept. 11, Christian Fellowship Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Eagles Nest campground.

Jericho to sponsor new TV show
Jericho Fellowship International opens for the fall season and its fifth year on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford.
The program was started in 1994 by Helen Lucia Moore. Jericho is an interdenominational group.
Jericho will be sponsoring “The Winds of Refreshing” with Helen Lucia Moore. This is a new TV show that will be seen every Thursday starting Sept. 23, at 8 p.m.
Jericho meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford.
On Sept. 14, Moore will be speaking on “How To Hear The Voice Of God.”
Everyone is invited. Admission is free.

Promise Keepers to host breakfast
Breakfast will be served by the Centenary Promise Keepers on Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel.
Serving time is from 7 to 10 a.m.
Food includes: eggs, ham, orange juice, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, rolls and coffee.
Price is adults $5, children 6-12, $3, and under 6 free.

‘The Dove’ to be at Melsons UMC Sept. 26
Melsons United Methodist Church of Delmar, Md., 32705 Melson Road, will hold a covered dish dinner on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m.
Entertainment will be provided by “The Dove” performing southern gospel music.

Homecoming set at New Zion UMC
New Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel, will host its annual homecoming Sunday, Sept. 12.
The Rev. William H. Johnson, pastor will speak at the 11 a.m. service.
Dinner will be served at 2 p.m., a memorial service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and an afternoon service at 4.

Marriage seminar to begin Oct. 12
His Needs, Her Needs is an eight-week interactive marriage seminar developed by Family Dynamics Institute for couples who want deeper intimacy and commitment in their marriages.
Based on two nationally-acclaimed books by psychologist and marriage counselor Dr. Willard Harley Jr., the His Needs, Her Needs seminar blends helpful, practical materials with powerful interactive tools to create new habits in marriage.

Divorce ministry is set for every Thursday
The Divorce Care divorce recovery seminar and support group meets every Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford. There is a $5 registration fee to cover the cost of the booklet used.

Church is raising funds for new building
The Rock Church of Seaford will host an auction Sept. 18, 7:30 p.m. at 1005 Norman Eskridge Highway in Seaford.
Items to be auctioned will include NASCAR memorabilia, dolls, Beanie Babies, furniture, television, a raspberry shell afghan, baked goods, dinners and baskets. In addition there will be a free concert beginning at 7 p.m.
The church is also selling Entertainment Books, which feature discount coupons for movies, restaurants, hotels, etc. To order, call 337-0282 or 628-0565.
All proceeds will go to the Rock Church building fund.

Christian festival is scheduled for Oct. 2
The second annual Christian Festival, formerly called the Gospel Festival, will be held in Collins Street Park, Stein Highway, Seaford, Saturday, Oct. 2, noon to dusk. The festival will include food, speakers and a gospel concert by “By Dezign.” Sponsor is the Christian Community Council and chairman is Allan Holloway.
The CCC was organized to increase spiritual awareness and unity in communities by developing spiritual outreach programs and serving as a support network to create church/community projects, particularly those addressing youth, senior and family concerns.

Workshop promises to help the overweight
Jericho Fellowship International will hold a 12-week Weigh-Down Workshop, a “christ-centered program that teaches participants to replace devotion to the refrigerator with a deeper, more satisfying devotion to God.”
Orientation will be Sept. 14, 6 p.m., at Mt. Olivet UMC, High St., Seaford. Ann Carson will be the instructor.

Latin Mass to be celebrated Sept. 19
