An all-you-can-eat and drink "pig pickin' " dinner will be Saturday,

Democrats seek talent
Democrats of the 40th Representative District will sponsor a Country
Hoe-Down talent show Sunday, Sept. 19, at the American Legion home
in Laurel from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Anyone interested in performing

The Laurel Mayor and Council meeting scheduled for Monday, Sept. 6,
has been cancelled. The next regular meeting will be Monday, Sept.
20, 7 p.m. in the Municipal Building on Poplar and Mechanic streets.
Club to sponsor course
The Laurel Lioness will sponsor an advanced defensive driving course
Thursday, Sept. 23, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Centenary Church in Laurel.
The course will be conducted by the Delaware Safety Council. Cost

Baldcypress Nature Center at Trap Pond State Park, Laurel, will host
a class on Earthy Crafts, arts and crafts can be made out of everyday
products, Saturday, Sept. 4, 10 a.m. Pre-registration is required
