Academy to open this fall in Laurel
The Bible Center Christian Academy, West Seventh Street., Laurel, is opening Sept. 7. According to organizers, certified instructors will teach students an "academically-challenging curriculum in a safe environment." Parents may enroll their children in grades kindergarten through six. The church is also open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 p.m., and Sundays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Christian Fellowship Day set for Sept. 11
On Saturday, Sept. 11, Christian Fellowship Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Eagles Nest campground.

Jericho to sponsor new TV show

Jericho Fellowship International opens for the fall season and its fifth year on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford. The program was started in 1994 by Helen Lucia Moore. Jericho is an interdenominational group. Jericho will be sponsoring "The Winds of Refreshing" with Helen Lucia Moore. This is a new TV show that will be seen every Thursday starting Sept. 23, at 8 p.m. Jericho meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. in Mt. Olivet Church in Seaford. On Sept. 14, Moore will be speaking on "How To Hear The Voice Of God." Everyone is invited. Admission is free.

Promise Keepers to host breakfast
Breakfast will be served by the Centenary Promise Keepers on Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel. Serving time is from 7 to 10 a.m.
Food includes: eggs, ham, orange juice, sausage, pancakes, potatoes, rolls and coffee. Price is adults $5, children 6-12, $3, and under 6 free.
"The Dove" to be at Melsons U.M.C. Sept. 26
Melsons United Methodist Church of Delmar, Md., 32705 Melson Road, will hold a covered dish dinner on Sunday, Sept. 26 at 5 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by "The Dove" performing southern gospel music.

Homecoming set at New Zion UMC
New Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel, will host its annual homecoming Sunday, Sept. 12. The Rev. William H. Johnson, pastor will speak at the 11 a.m. service. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m., a memorial service will begin at 3:30 p.m. and an afternoon service at 4.

Latin Mass to be celebrated Sept. 19

A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5905 or 302-629-8863.

Marriage seminar to begin Oct. 12
