Seniors singing group
Nanticoke Senior Center Program director, Steve Givens is forming a senior singing group. All seniors are welcome to join. Please, call Steve at (302) 629-4939 for more information or to sign up.

Apple-Scrapple deadline
The Bridgeville Senior Center is accepting applications for the Apple Scrapple Festival Farmer's Market. This very popular event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14. Call Karen at 337-8771 and ask for your application. The deadline for crafters and vendors is Sept. 1.

Buffet supper with oysters
A Buffet Supper with Oysters will be held at Cokesbury Community Center, near Reliance, on Saturday, Sept. 2, at 6 p.m. The public is invited. The price is $8; one seating only - no carry outs. This is sponsored by United Methodist Women.

TRIAD meeting Sept. 14
The Western Sussex County TRIAD will hold its next meeting on Thursday, Sept. 14, at 10 a.m. at the Nanticoke Senior Center located at 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford. The TRIAD organization is comprised of citizens and law enforcement working together to ensure for the safety and quality of life needs of senior citizens. The topic for the next TRIAD meeting will be Health and Nutrition and the presenter will be Linda Mancuso. All members of the community are invited to attend the meetings. The TRIAD meetings re normally scheduled for the second Thursday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Senior Center.
Entertainment Book
The Bridgeville Senior Center is taking reservations for the Entertainment 2001 Savings Book. Center seeks volunteers
Deliver meals to someone in need. A small amount of time does a world full of good. If you can give 1 hour of your time 1 day a month, the center would appreciate your help in delivering homebound meals to senior shut-ins. Alumni Fund-Raiser '2000'
The Seaford Alumni Association have for sale their "2000" mug featuring "Seaford Senior High School." Mugs are $6 each and are available at the Seaford School Administration Office, Burton Bros. Hardware and Heritage Jeweler's. All profits go to the Scholarship Fund. They make "a perfect graduation gift."

Bagpipes at Ross Mansion
The melodious sound of the bagpipe will bring to mind the Scottish heritage of Governor Ross when the Seaford Historical Society celebrates the 140th anniversary of the official opening of the Ross Mansion. Events take place at the Ross Plantation all day on Saturday, Oct. 7, and at St. Luke's Church on Sunday, Oct. 8. Reservations must be made by Sept. 15 for all events even those for which there is no charge.
