Bette Davis' daughter to speak in Seaford
B.D. Hyman, daughter of film legend Bette Davis, will be our guest speaker at Jericho Fellowship International for "Signs and Wonders Gathering" Buffet Dinner, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m., at the Seaford Golf and Country Club, Seaford. Catholic Diocesan Retreat for Boy Scouts Sept. 15-17
The Catholic Committee on Scouting has scheduled the Annual Catholic Retreat for Boy Scouts for the weekend of Sept. 15-17. The theme for this year is "Talking With God." The entire Henson (Nanticoke) Scout Camp has been reserved for this event. Awards for Scouts
The Catholic Church has a program of awards which may be earned by members of the various age levels of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Women's Day 2000
United Deliverance Bible Center will hold a "Women's Day 2000 Celebration" on Sunday, Sept. 10, at morning service 11:30 a.m. and afternoon service, 5 p.m. The church is at 532 West Seventh St., Laurel. Bishop Catherine A. Camper is pastor. Preacher at Morning Service will be Overseer Idel T. Williams of Maranath Pentecostal Church, Greenwood; afternoon preacher will be Bishop Patricia Williams, Glorious Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Wilmington.

11th Annual Gospel Sing
The 11th Annual Gospel Sing will be held in Delmar Park, Delmar, Del., Sept. 16, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with local talent, food, and fun. Bring lawn chairs and spend the day. For more information call 302-846-3011.
The Ninety & Nine
The Ninety & Nine extends an invitation to join them for their Quarterly Dinner Meeting at The Methodist Manor House in Seaford, on Monday, September 11, at 6:30 p.m. Guest Speaker is JoAnn Bolen of Salisbury. Bolen recently visited the Holy Land. She will alsp speak about how she was delivered from her insecurity and a habit of "name-calling." Guest singer is Vera Bolen. Vera gave her heart to Jesus in a tent meeting when she was eight years old. She and her husband, Richard, have been married 36 years, and have three children and six grandchildren with one on the way. Reservations are necessary. Bible Study Workshop
A Precept Bible Study Workshop, sponsored by WOLC 102.5, "Joy On the Air," will be presented by Precept Ministries of Chattanooga, Tenn. The Workshop for students, potential leaders, or current leaders, will be held Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 14, 15, 16, at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury, Md. Classes will be held each day from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. There will be three levels of classes beginning with classes for those with little or no previous knowledge of inductive studies and extending to a class for those with extensive prior knowledge. St. John's 27th House Tour
The United Methodist Women of St. John's Church, Seaford, are once again sponsoring tours of some of the most beautiful homes in the area. Thetour will be Thursday, Oct. 5, beginning at 10 a.m. It features tours of seven homes and is accompanied by a chicken salad luncheon. Tickets may be purchased at any of the homes on the day of the tour or in the church's Wesley Lounge. The price of the tickets are $6.

What must I do to be saved?
Jesus promised the gift of eternal life for those willing to accept him as Savior. His plan of salvation:

F Believe in Jesus (Jn 3:16-18;
