Message therapist training to start
The 510-hour massage therapist program at Delaware Tech's Owens Campus, Georgetown, meets local licensing and national certification standards and includes specialized training in the art and science of message therapy along with a study of sound business practices. Graduates will be prepared to take the National Certification Exam in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
Classes will begin on Sept. 12. A free information session will be Thursday, Aug. 24, at 6 p.m. in Room 529 of the Carter Partnership Center. For more information call 854-6966.

Volunteers needed for Hospice
Training class (two, eight-hour sessions) for volunteers with Sussex County Hopsice will be held in mid-September. For details, call 855-2344 Ext. 120.
New goals for AIDS Walk 2000
AIDS Delaware recently kicked off its drive for the 14th annual DuPont Pharmaceuticals Delaware AIDS Walk. Volunteers hope to increase walker participation by 60 percent. In 1999, approximately 1,500 walkers participated. Proceeds will support AIDS Delaware's services, such as education and outreach and counseling and testing.
The event is Sunday, Sept. 24, at Rockford Park in Wilmington at 1 p.m. For more information call (302) 652-6776.
