The summer reading program at Delmar Public Library is fast coming to an end.
On Aug. 9, there will be a Spanish Accent Program highlighting the Spanish way of life. This live presentation will start at 6:30 p.m.
In order to be able to attend the end of summer "Passport to the World" party on Thursday, Aug. 16, you will need to have your personal Delmar Library passport completed and all the books that you have read be logged in no later than 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11.
Delmar Chamber nominations
The Greater Delmar Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for the annual Citizen of the Year 2001. Nomination forms are available at the following locations around the Delmar area: The Bank of Delmarva, Delmar Office, Delmar Town Hall, Delmar Post Office, Railroad Cafˇ, Wilmington Trust and Delmar Public Library.
Completed forms may be inserted in nomination boxes at any location. Deadline for nominations will be Sept. 10. The annual banquet honoring the Delmar Citizen of the Year is scheduled for Nov. 3. For additional information, contact Lisa Ellis at The Bank of Delmarva, 410-742-9401.
