Church plans extravaganza
On Saturday, Aug. 12, at 5 p.m., United Deliverance Bible Center, Laurel, will host a Praise Music Extravaganza. The cost is $8 for adults or $10 at the door, $4 for youth and free to children 12 and under.

Christ UMC plans Bible school
Christ United Methodist Church, Central Avenue, Laurel, will hold its vacation Bible school, "Road Rally 2000," Aug. 21-25, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. For details, call 875-4233.

Praise Quartet to perform
The Praise Quartet from Pensacola Christian College will present a program on Aug. 6, 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Seaford. The Praise Quartet is one of eight traveling groups representing the college during the summer months. The ensembles will hold services in close to 700 churches and schools throughout the United States and Canada.
There is no admission charge for this program.

Christ Lutheran plans VBS
The Outback Expedition, vacation Bible school, will be Aug. 7-11, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Seaford. Children from age 3 to those just completing sixth grade are invited to attend.
There will be a closing program during the worship service on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 9:30 a.m. For more information, contact Amy at 629-9755.

Trinity UMC Bible school set
Trinity United Methodist Church near Laurel will hold its annual vacation Bible school from Aug. 7-11, 6:30-8:45 p.m. This year's theme is "Road Rally 2000." For details call Brenda at 238-7139.

Veggie Tales to be featured
The Delmar Church of God of Prophecy, Rt. 13 & Whitesville Road, Delmar, Del.., will welcome children ages 2-12 to "Veggie Town Values - On the Job!" vacation Bible school.

Presbyterians plan VBS
Seaford Presbyterian Church will hold vacation Bible school from Aug. 14-19. The theme will be "2000 Ark Avenue." Classes will be available for ages 3 to completion of 5th grade and will be held daily from 9 to noon.

Ministry plans auction
Charity Auction 2000, sponsored by Take My Hand Ministry Inc. of Greenwood, will be Saturday, Aug. 19, at the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company. Bidders may preview items and negotiate a price from 9 to 10 a.m. Upon agreement, purchases can be made and removed from the fire hall.
At 10 a.m. there will be a baked goods auction by Leonard Chaffinch of Bridgeville. At 11 a.m. auctioneer Tommy Tucker of Greenwood will sell all remaining items. All sales are final and items must be removed from the fire hall at the time of sales. Refreshments will be available.

Donated items, baked goods and cash contributions are tax deductible. All proceeds will help poverty level clients of the ministry obtain necessary items that their limited incomes cannot cover.

Special people invited to VBS
The Bible School for Special People (BSSP) program at Christ Lutheran Church will host a vacation Bible school program Aug. 21-25.
This program is designed for people with mental retardation and other mental and physical challenges. The program will begin at 6:30 and will conclude at 8:30 each night. This year's theme is "Who is Jesus?"
There will be a closing program at 8 p.m. on Friday and all are welcome to attend. For more information contact Leona at 629-2770.
