National Night Out
For the 10th straight year, the Seaford community will once again have the opportunity to join with their neighbors and police officers in a night to "Give crime and drugs a going-away party." The Seaford Police Department, Delaware State Police and the Blades Police Department have joined forces once again, and are planning a special fun-filled evening for the entire family. From 5-8 p.m there will be music, exhibits, games for kids and free hamburgers, hotdogs and soft drinks. Parents can have their children fingerprinted and there will be police demonstrations of canine units, motorcycle units and a bomb unit robot. In addition, "Sgt. Dan" and the Delaware State Police helicopter will be on display. As always McGruff the Crime Fighting Dog will make an appearance. The event has always been well attended in the past, so make your plans early to come with your family and meet your friends and neighbors at the Fred Douglass School grounds and show criminals and drug dealers that they are not welcome in your neighborhood.
