My sister, Corliss, and her grandson, AJ, and I spent the day at Chincoteague for the pony penning. It's amazing how many people travel from all over the Untied States for this annual affair. The ponies were so cute. I wanted to come back the next day to buy one at the auction they have on Thursday. I talked about it all the way home Ñ should I take off Ñ or should I not? But when I got home and received my property tax bill, that made up my mind. I did pick a pony out that I would have loved to have Ñ a black and white paint. And of course, I had good taste: he went for the big bucks, a little out of my price range.
We met up with my daughter, Monica, and her husband, Scott, and my grandsons, Seth and Cody there. They were spending a few days for the pony penning. They go almost every year and the boys really enjoy camping out.
Marian Lee Gordy was given a surprise birthday party on Saturday, July 28, by her children at the home of her daughter, Cindy. Her family and friends helped Marian Lee celebrate her special birthday.
