4th Annual Seaford Lions Club Charity Tournament
The 4th Annual Seaford Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, Aug. 9. Proceeds will help support the Clubís community projects such as providing eye exams and glasses, scholarships, and assisting other needy and well-deserving causes. The tournament will be held at the Seaford Golf and Country Club with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. The format will be a two-person, better ball of partners, with net and gross prizes. All golfers must have a valid U.S.G.A. handicap or play scratch. An entry fee of $75 per person will include: continental breakfast, golf cart, luncheon, golf shirt, golf balls, cash prizes, a chance to win a new car, and more. The first place team for both net and gross will win $400 cash, second place will be $300, third place $200, and fourth place $150. Elks host Bingo every Wednesday
The Seaford Elks Lodge has Bingo every Wednesday evening beginning promptly at 7:30. Food available from our kitchen.

Towne & Country Fair seeks vendors The Annual Towne & Country Fair, to be held on Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Governor Ross Plantation, is looking for more craft vendors and exhibitors. SDP&R trip to Radio City Music Hall Dec. 8
The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation is planning a day trip to New York City to see the Christmas Show at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, Dec. 8, The show is at noon. There will be free time from 1:30-5 p.m. Cost is $86.

Scholarship and Golf a good mix Sept. 28
The Woodland Ferry Association has approved an award of a $750 scholarship to be given to a deserving Seaford Senior High School senior. Chester H. Porches, president of the Association, states that this is an increase of $250 from past years. The Seaford High School Scholarship Committee will select the winner. This annual scholarship is made possible by the donations made by individuals and merchants, players who participate and association members who plan and carry out this popular activity. This year the Woodland Ferry Associationís Invitational Golf Outing will be held at the Woodland Golf Park on Saturday, Sept. 28. Jack Conner will coordinate this event. Call Jack at 629-4324 to play. Invitations will be mailed out to most of the players who have participated in the past.
