Club members to head west
By Bill McCauley
Greenwood 4-H Hi-Flyer Club members Heather Holmes, Michael Clendaniel
and Dawn Cannon will fly out of Philadelphia on Sunday with 17 other
Delaware 4-H Club members, headed for New Mexico. Upon arrival they
will be driven three hours to Taos to spend the week on a Habitat
for Humanity work project. All three are also busy as participants
in the Delaware State Fair this week. Holmes and Clendaniel are June
graduates of Woodbridge High. Cannon will be a senior at Milford High
this fall. Their parents are Sherry and Marty Holmes, Wanda and Drew
Clendaniel and Kathy and Patrick Cannon.
The three had the responsibility of calling on local civic organizations,
businesses and other patrons for donations. Contributors were: Bridgeville
Lions Club - $100, Bridgeville Kiwanis Club - $300, Jeff and Pam Tull
- $100 and Lloydlee Heit - $25. For Holmes, it was natural for her
to approach the Bridgeville Kiwanis Club. She served last school year
as president of the Key Club, a high school affiliate of the club.
