Ministerial Bible Schools
Woodbridge Ministerial Association announces area Vacation Bible Schools at the following churches. Send your children to each one throughout the summer.

Nazarene Church revival
A revival will take place at the United Church of the Nazarene, 4718 Jackson St., Hurlock, Md. The pastor is Ebenezer Williamson and the guest speaker will be Pastor John H. Mt. Olivet summer studies
Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church is hosting summer Sunday School and Bible studies this summer, each Sunday through July 24, at 9:45 a.m., in Fellowship Hall. Children, youth and adults will participate in singing, Bible study, crafts and drama. Vacation Bible School, "The Kingdom of the Son" will be offered the week of July 25 to 29 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. All are welcome. Call the church office 629-4458.

Evangelism classes coming
Evangelism classes start on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 10 a.m. Classes will run on a four-week cycle at the River of Life Christian Center, 17 West Market St., Greenwood. For more information call the church office at 349-9420.

'Passion' movie showing

St. John's yard sale July 23
The Sharing Place, St. John's United Methodist Church Thrift Shop, in Seaford, will be having a yard sale on Saturday, July 23, starting at 7 a.m. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the missions of the Sharing Place and St. John's Church. Items may be previewed on Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Call 629-4292 with questions or for information. With the exception of houseware items, no donations are needed at this time.

Alliance Church Bible School
The Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford is offering Vacation Bible School for children age 4 through sixth grade completed, July 25-29, from 9 a.m. to noon. This year's exciting theme is "Upward Bound." Student backpackers will "hike" through lots of fun activities as they follow Jesus, the Lead Guide, along the rugged and radical trail to the summit! River of Life Youth Ministry
Evangelist Joseph Castillo has recently joined the staff at River of Life Christian Center, Greenwood. Castillo has worked with some of America's largest ministries including Bill Winston, Rod Parsley and most recently Churches from the Pensacola- Brownsville Revival that are in Europe. He has ministered in many churches through out America, Europe and in Jamaica. Take My Hand Ministry Auction
Take My Hand Ministry, Inc. will sponsor its seventh annual charity auction on Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Greenwood Memorial VFW Post 7478 on Governors Avenue in Greenwood. The Preview starts at 9 a.m. followed by the auction at 10 a.m. with auctioneer Tommy Tucker of Greenwood. Refreshments will be served by the Ladies Auxiliary of the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company. Baked goods are available, too. The yearly auction benefits needy clients of Take My Hand Ministry, and this year it extends to Supporting Our Troops. Church of Nazarene VBS
J-Force Vacation Bible School, a high energy, high tech adventure will be hosted by the Seaford Church of the Nazarene. Laurel Wesleyan Church VBS
Laurel Wesleyan Church will be having a Super Hero Vacation Bible School Aug. 15-19, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., for nursery through grade 6. Then on Sunday, Aug. 21, at 10:30 a.m. will be the annual Kids Day with music, drama, crafts and snacks. Laurel Wesleyan Church is located just north of Laurel on U.S. 13A. Woodland honors pastor
Woodland United Methodist Church will host a covered dish dinner on Sunday, July 24, at 2 p.m. in honor of their pastor, Bob Robinson and his wife Betty. The Rev. Robinson and Betty are retiring and leaving the area. Woodland Church will also welcome their incoming pastor, Dick Bridge and his wife Joanne. Everybody is welcome. St. John's Thrift Store hours
The Thrift Store of St. John's United Methodist Church will be changing its hours of operation beginning Monday, Aug. 1. The new hours will be Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The first Saturday of each month will be a yard sale. Call Connie Matthews at 628-5138.
