Seaford Lions Club Golf Tournament is August 8
The fifth annual Seaford Lions Club Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, Aug. 8. Proceeds will help support the club’s community projects, such as providing eye exams and glasses, scholarships, and assisting other needy and well-deserving causes. The tournament will be held at the Seaford Golf and Country Club, starting at 9 a.m. The format will be a two-person, better ball of partners, with net and gross prizes. An entry fee of $75 per person will include: continental breakfast, range balls, golf cart, luncheon, cash prizes, folding chair, golf balls and more. Crab cake dinner
The Ladies’ Auxiliary of VFW Post 4961, Seaford, has three activities going on this weekend. The auxiliary’s second Crab Cake Dinner will be Friday, July 18, at 6 p.m. The crab cake platter will include homemade potato salad, coleslaw, string beans and rolls. The cost is $7. A crab cake sandwich can be purchased for $5.50. On Saturday morning, July 19, there will be an Outdoor Yard Sale on the Post grounds starting at 6 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be served by the Auxiliary. If you are interested in renting a table, call 628-3444 or 337-7523. Finally on Sunday morning, July 20, the Auxiliary will serve its All-You-Can-Eat breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The breakfast includes meats, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, toast, coffee, and juice. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children. The Post is located in Seaford on Middleford Road east of Route 13. The phone number at the Post is 629-3092 if you have questions.
