Centenary to host breakfast
Centenary Promise Keepers will serve an all-you-can-eat breakfast Saturday, July 15, 7 to 10 a.m., at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel. Cost for adults is $5 and for children 6-12, $3. Children under 6 will be admitted free.

Bible school planned
The Laurel Church of Christ will hold its annual vacation Bible school July 17-21. Classes will be available for children age 4 through high school. The theme is "Looking for Character Prints."
For four nights, Monday through Thursday, the students will participate in singing, a class and making crafts; refreshments will be served. The school begins each evening at 6:30 and ends at 8:45.
On Friday night, the students will present a program, "The Mystery of the Character Prints," at 7 p.m. Preceding the program, the students, their parents, and other family members are invited to a picnic at 6.

Church awards for scouts
The Catholic Church has a program of awards which may be earned by members of the various age levels of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. A group will begin soon to learn about the Ad Altare Dei Award for Boy Scouts.

St. John's to host concerts
A concert recital series at St. John's United Methodist Church in Seaford, brings nationally known performance artists to the area. "Heartsound," a Celtic flute and harp duo, will perform on July 27 and soprano Catherine Justice will perform on Aug. 24.
Tickets are $10 for each concert. Proceeds benefit enlargement and renovation of St. John's pipe organ. To order tickets, call the church office at 302-629-9466.
VBS to "Go For The Gold'
"Go For The Gold" will be this year's theme for vacation Bible school at the Laurel Church of the Nazarene July 31 through Aug. 4, from 6:30 till 8:45 p.m. Directors are Tracey Hill and Holly Cay.
Traditional activities such as the dollar line and the mystery box will once again be a part of this year's event.
All children from age 2 through the sixth grade are invited.

Church to host "Road Rally"
The Cannon Mennonite Church Bible school, "Road Rally 2000", will be July 31 through Aug. 4, from 6:30 until 9 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 5, a picnic will be held beginning at 4 p.m.

Faith Wesleyan plans VBS
Mt. Calvary AME Church, Concord, is holding vacation Bible school July 17 through July 21, 6 to 8 p.m. The theme is "Jesus Loves Me." The week will close with a picnic July 21. For details, call 629-6880.
