Touring musical duo
The Laurel Public Library presents C. Shells, a touring musical duo, who will have children of all ages laughing, smiling and stamping their feet. Join us at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 14, for an afternoon of fun for the entire family!
This program is free and open to the public, and is brought to us by the Delaware Division of Libraries and the Delaware Library Association.

Music In The Park series
The Laurel Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 5th annual “Music In The Park” summer concert series. The event will kick-off on Thursday, July 10, at 7 p.m. in the Market Street Square Park in Laurel. The Grandpajammers will be the featured entertainment for the July event. Bring lawn chairs or blankets.
Laurel Concert in the Park
Bring a lawn chair and come listen to the soothing sounds of Shore Jazz with Holly Lane at Market Street Park in historic Laurel, this Sunday, July 13, from 4 to 6 p.m. Shore Jazz, led by pianist Lenny Grazier, is a versatile group of talented musicians from Maryland’s eastern shore and Delaware. Specializing in jazz styles ranging from traditional, big band and swing to Afro-Cuban Latin, bossa nova and bepop. They enjoy playing the classic jazz standards written by jazz’s legendary composers. Join your neighbors and friends for this free concert in beautiful downtown Laurel.
The Lewis Family concert
The Lewis Family will be making a return visit to Laurel on Thursday, July 17, at the Laurel Fire Hall on 10th Street. Show time is 7 p.m. Joining them in concert will be the Donny Murray Trio, featuring Donnie, Carol and Kelly.
Refreshments will be served and proceeds will go to the Laurel Fire Department Ladder Truck Fund. Tickets are available at O’Neal Brothers in Laurel, the Star office in Seaford or County Bank in Laurel or by calling 875-0764 or 629-9788.
On page 37 of the Laurel July 4 book the name of the general should have read Woodrow W. Boyce. David Boyce is a brother to the general.
