Senior pictures to be taken
Seaford High School senior class pictures will be taken on July 25 and 26. Notices will be mailed to upcoming seniors by Lifetouch. For details, contact Lifetouch at 410-742-7484.

Blood pressure checks offered
The Nanticoke Senior Center offers free blood pressure checks by a skilled professional every month. The next check will be on Wednesday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to noon. No appointment is necessary.
The senior center is offering an informative presentation on prostate cancer. Cindy Dennis, the center outreach worker, will conduct the presentation Thursday, July 13, at 1 p.m. in the center dining hall. For more information, call Steve Givens or Cindy Dennis at (302) 629-4939.

Yard, bake sale set
The Nanticoke Senior Center is having a yard and bake sale on Friday, July 14, from 8 to 11 a.m. Tables are available for anyone wishing to sell items. Table space is $5 per table, and vendors price and sell their own items.
To arrange to donate items to the sale, contact Steve Givens or Barbara Johnson at the Nanticoke Senior Center, 629-4939, by Wednesday, July 12.

Class of '75 to hold reunion
The Seaford Class of 1975 is planning its 25th class reunion on July 15, 7 p.m., at the Seaford Fire Hall. Anyone who has not yet been notified may call Judy Rhodes at 629-8427.
Several people have not been located. Fish fry set for July 16
Seaford Elk Lodge 2458 will host a fish fry on Sunday, July 16, 4 p.m. till the fish are gone. Fried trout, corn bread, kale, fried potatoes, stewed tomatoes and corn will be served. Cost is $7 per person, $3.50 for children under 10. Carry outs will be available. For more information call 629-2458. Proceeds will benefit the Elks charity fund.
Preschool has openings
St. John's Preschool has added a second class for 2-year-olds on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The Monday-Wednesday class is full. One opening is available for the 3-year-olds' class. Openings are still available in the morning and afternoon 4- and 5-year-olds' class (must be 4 by Dec. 31).
The preschool is located on Pine and Poplar streets in Seaford. It is open to all children regardless of race, color or origin. Contact Debby Shockley at 628-1131 for more information.

Yard sale set for July 22
The Past Exalted Rulers of Seaford Elks Lodge 2458 will have a multi-family yard sale Saturday, July 22, 7 a.m. to noon. Anyone wishing to donate items for this sale may call Jim Cecil at 875-3810 or the lodge at 629-2458. All proceeds will go to the Elks charity fund. Table rentals will also be available. For details, contact Art League at 875-7660. Sandwiches, coffee and refreshments will be available.

Center to sponsor cruise
The Nanticoke Senior Center will be taking a Smith Island cruise Thursday, July 27. The bus will leave the center at 9:45 a.m. and stop at Carvel Hall for shopping. Price is $35 for members, $38 for non-members. Call (302) 629-4939 to sign up or to get more information.

Historical society picnic set
Seaford Historical Society members will hold their annual summer picnic on the lawn at the Ross Mansion on Monday, July 17, at 6 p.m. Each member should bring a covered dish. The society will provide meat and beverage.
After the meal Claudia Melson will present interesting facts that she has uncovered about Gov. Ross and his property as she is preparing a thesis to qualify for a master's degree from the University of Delaware.
