Singles Supper to hold dinner

Trips to Camden Yards set
The Adult Plus+ program at Delaware Technical & Community College, Georgetown, is sponsoring two trips to Baltimore Orioles games in July. On Saturday evening, July 15, the Birds play the Atlanta Braves, and on Sunday, July 30, they take the field against the Cleveland Indians.
Tickets for Adult Plus+ members are $30; for members of the general public, $34; for Delaware Tech students, $33; and for children under age 18 $31. Cost includes round trip bus transportation between the Carter Partnership Center and Camden Yards and admission to the game. Vendors sought for Bethel fest
Bethel Historical Society is planning its annual Heritage Day for Saturday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will begin with the traditional parade on Main Street at 10:30 a.m. Scheduled events include a decorated bike contest with prizes and a pet contest with prizes. There will also be a petting zoo, pony rides, games for children music and refreshments. Vendors will include antique dealers, crafts people and demonstrators.

Go to the game, help clubs
A special night of Shorebirds baseball will be held on Thursday, July 13, at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, Salisbury, Md. Sponsored by the Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships, tickets for the game are available for a discount price of $6.50, with proceeds benefiting Boys and Girls Club of Delaware.
The game will feature the Hagerstown Suns and the Delmarva Shorebirds, with special guest, 'Birdzerk.' For ticket information call 410-219-3112 or contact any local unit of Boys and Girls Clubs of Delaware.

Teens to do 'Alice'
Possum Point Players' teenage program, Possum Juniors, is producing 'Alice in Wonderland' for this summer. Performances will be July 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30 at Possum Hall in Georgetown. Performances on July 21, 22, 28 and 29 will begin at 7 p.m. Performances on July 23 and 30 begin at 2 p.m.
Possum Point Players and the Delaware National Bank will host a pre-theatre tea party in honor of their Junior production of 'Alice in Wonderland.' Joining in the fun, starting one hour before each performance, will be some of Alice's friends (and enemies) that she meets as she travels through Wonderland.

Players plan summer play
Second Street Players will present the British comedy, 'Move Over Mrs. Markham,' July 14, 15, 16, 21, 22 and 23. Mistaken identities will be the order of the evening. The adult comedy is directed by Curt Stickel and features Kelly Holliger, Destiny Kerstetter, Thom McFarland, Kane Mowrey, Rosanne Park, Bonnie Russell and Kenney Workman.
Friday and Saturday shows are at 8 p.m.; Sunday matinees, 3 p.m. All tickets are $10 for Friday and Saturday shows; senior citizens and students pay a discount $9 for Sunday matinees only. Tickets are now on sale; for reservations, call 422-0220.
The players' Riverfront Theatre is at 2 S. Walnut in downtown Milford. The theatre is air-conditioned and accessible to people with disabilities. Second Street Players are supported in part by the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Sussex County Council.
New pageant planned
Applications for a new Sussex County Pageant will be available beginning Friday, July 28. This pageant is open to all females between the ages of 4 to 16 years old and who have lived in Sussex County for at least one year. There are four age divisions: Little Miss Sussex County, ages 4-6; Juvenile Miss Sussex County, ages 7-9; Miss Pre-teen Sussex County, ages 10-12; and Miss Teen Sussex County, ages 13-16.
Applications will be available at Trader's Jewelry & Gift Shop, 116 Second Street, Lewes, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday; and Casual Cut's Hair Salon, Sussex 469 behind Georgetown Plaza Shopping Center in Georgetown, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., on Tuesday, Thursdays and Fridays.
The pageant is set for Saturday, Oct. 21. All proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic Inc. Deadline for applications is Sept. 15. For more information call (302) 855-9595.

Country music fest planned
The University of Delaware's Summer Arts Festival presents 'Country Music Fest 2000,' featuring recording artist Bryan White with special guest stars, the Kinleys. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at the University of Delaware's Virden Center, Pilottown Road, Lewes.

LambJam set for August
The mid-Atlantic's largest Christian music event is returning to Eagle's Nest Campground near Milton, on Aug. 18 and 19. Lamb Jam 2000 has been expanded to include a Friday night program, plus a full-day of concerts on Saturday. Headlining this year's festival is FFH, a band originally from Lancaster, Pa., that hit it big in the contemporary Christian music field last year with a string of number one radio singles. The group is best known for its debut smash hit 'Big Fish,' and records on the Nashville-based Essential label.
Other national acts signed to perform at LambJam are Jonathan Pierce, The Darin's, Russ Lee, Tammy Trent, Natalie Grant, and comedian Jeff Allen. Regional artists include Baltimore's acoustic rock band Forever Moon and Virginia's Doug Farris & Co.
A LambJam 2000 Kick-Off Party and Youth Rally have been added to the schedule for Friday night, Aug. 18, featuring the new Christian band Plus One.
