Sandy Davis is spending her birthday with her sisters in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. David Burton are celebrating the birth of their first grandchild. Sara Elizabeth Rogers was born at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital on June 28. She weighed in at 8 pounds.

We are sorry to hear that Nancy Carr had a fall and broke her leg last week. Besides her accident, the disappointing news was that she and Mike had planned a Baltic/European cruise this coming week and had to reschedule it. Nancy, we hope you will get better soon and get to go on your cruise this fall.

Betty Bradley is recuperated at the Chesapeake Rehab Center in Salisbury after breaking her hip on the 24th of June. We hope that you have a speedy recovery

Ed and Lois Evans are hosting the 25th Bicentennial Wagon Train reunion of the Southern Train at their farm at Pepperbox. Folks have come in from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Pennsylvania for this reunion. On Sunday, they went on a pleasure drive with their horses along with members from the Laurel Saddle Friends and Delmarva Driving Club to Trap Pond and back. Sightseeing trips are planned all week and ending with the Tuckahoe Horse Pull in Easton, Md., on Friday night. Stayed tuned in for next week, as Lois is giving me some history of this wagon train.

Congratulations to Monica and Scott Shubert on moving into their new home. She had some of her immediate family gather at their home for prayers in blessing of their new home last week.

Thought for the week: "Few things are more satisfying than seeing your children have teenagers of their own."
