Festival and Reunion
The 3rd Annual Phyllis Wheatley School Festival and Reunion will be held on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at Passwaters Park, Bridgeville. Admission is free. There will be plenty of food, fun and games. Vendors are welcome. Fee for vendors is $25.
Banquet will be from 7-9 p.m. with a DJ from 9 p.m.-midnight at the Bridgeville Fire Hall. Fee for Banquet is $25 per person. There will be no admissions paid at the door. Deadline for registering is June 27. For more information call 628-3395 or 629-9799.
Teen Talent Night at Greenwood
On Thursday, July 10, at 6 p.m., the Greenwood Public Library will host a Teen Talent Night at the Greenwood V.F.W. as part of its teen version for the Summer Reading Program. Kids age 12 and up who would like to showcase a talent are encouraged to contact Miss Donna at (302) 349-5309. Each participant will be given 10 minutes to perform magic, play an instrument, sing, etc. Stop by the library to fill out an entry form and get more information about show time. The show is free and open to the public, and is sure to be a wonderful evening of local entertainment suitable for the whole family. Family Day at Mt. Calvary UMC
The Hopkins, Murray and Palmer Family Day will be held on June 22, at Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, 28 Church St., Bridgeville, at 4 p.m. Guest preacher will be the Rev. Bridgeville Concerts series plans
The Bridgeville Historical Society and the Bridgeville Lions Club will sponsor four community concerts in the Bridgeville Historical Society Park on Delaware Avenue in Bridgeville this summer.
Citizens Hose Fireman’s Band from Smyrna will perform on Wednesday, July 30.
The final summer concert will be a performance by the Milford Community Band.
Each concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.
Summer Library Fun at Greenwood
The Greenwood Public Library 2003 Reading Program, “Laugh It Up @ Your Library” is open to young people preschool age and older, with a special teen version for kids 12 and up.
