Galestown Ruritan Buffet
Sunday Breakfast Buffet, Galestown Ruritan Club, June 27, from 7-10 a.m. at the Galestown (Md.) Community Hall. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 children ages 6-12. Buffet features pancakes, eggs, scrapple, sausage, creamed chipped beef, biscuits, potato casserole, hominy, fruit cup, and sticky buns.

Pomona Grange Meeting
Sussex County Pomona Grange picnic hosted by Henlopen Grange #20 in Lewes, Sunday, June 27, 2 p.m. Bring a covered dish and place setting. An auction will follow with proceeds to the deaf fund.

Airport Committee meeting
The next regular meeting of the Sussex County Airport Committee will be held Wednesday, July 14, at the Sussex County Administrative Offices building (West Complex, Rt. 113), Georgetown, at 6 p.m. If there are any questions, call 855-7770

Reliance Grange Meeting
On Monday, June 28, the Reliance Grange #58 covered dish supper, will be at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Reliance, 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Ena Evans, who will speak about Medicare and all the new options. All are invited. Call 337-3615.

Thresholds Program
The Thresholds Program at Sussex Correctional Institution (SCI) in Georgetown is recruiting volunteer teachers. Thresholds teaches a six-step decision-making process to inmates. Thresholds is an eight-week program that meets in the prison on Monday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Teachers are not required to teach every cycle. Teachers work one-on-one with their students in a shared classroom setting. No previous experience is required. Training for new teachers is scheduled for Saturday, July 31, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To register or learn more, call Jim Plouffe at 994-3143 or Donna Beecher at 645-8309.
YOUTH EVENTS

Yacht Club Fishing Derby
Nanticoke River Yacht Club along with Wal-Mart will host a youth fishing derby from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, June 19. Pre-registration is at the derby. A parent or guardian must accompany all children four to 14. Numerous prizes will be available in all categories. The fishing will be at the Seaford river bulkhead and the casting derby, snacks and awards will be made at the Yacht Club before noon. For additional information call Richard Swartout at 875-0787.

Celebration in Concord
As part of its ongoing 200th anniversary celebration, Concord United Methodist Church will host the Historic Vintage Car Club of Delaware and the First State Tractor Club on Saturday, June 26. Vintage and classic cars and antique tractors will be on display on the grounds of the church and community house from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The Untied Methodist Women will serve breakfast and lunch including scrapple sandwiches, hot dogs, desserts, and beverages. On display will be cars, tractors and other collectible items on display, such as antique wrenches, small engines, knives, and thermometers.
