Christ Lutheran celebrating 50th anniversary on June 26
Christ Lutheran Church, Shipley and Spruce streets, Seaford, will be celebrating its 50th anniversary on Sunday, June 26. The celebration is free to all and will begin at 11 a.m. Worship, luncheon, slide presentation of the first 50 years and a vision for the next 50 years will fill the day's schedule. As part of their 50th anniversary celebration on June 26 Christ Lutheran Church in Seaford will be selling wooden replicas of their church building, manufactured by "The Cat's Meow" in Wooster, Ohio. The cost of the 50th anniversary souvenir replica is $20 each. Anyone who would be interested in purchasing one of the replicas should contact the church at 629-9755. Members of the Congregational Service Team of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, who attend the church, helped organize the event. The first $850 raised will be matched by the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Home Office in Appleton, Wisc. For more information contact the church at 629-9755.

Mt. Olivet summer studies
Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church is hosting summer Sunday School and Bible studies this summer, each Sunday through July 24, at 9:45 a.m., in Fellowship Hall. Children, youth and adults will participate in singing, Bible study, crafts and drama. Vacation Bible School, "The Kingdom of the Son" will be offered the week of July 25 to 29 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. All are welcome. Call the church office 629-4458.

Laurel Baptist Church VBS
Laurel Baptist Church announces its VBS (Vacation Bible School) "Ramblin' Road Trip" beginning with a musical on Sunday evening, June 26. Classes are at 6 to 8:30 p.m., on Monday, June 27, through Thursday, June 30, and a family night at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 1. St. John's UMC VBS
Be a part of the adventure at the Circle G. Ranch Vacation Bible School at St. John's United Methodist Church on Pine and Poplar streets, June 27-July 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m. for a small fee. Presbyterian special music

Seaford Presbyterian Church will have a special service of music featuring "Faithful in Flannel" from Dover, on Sunday, June 26, at 10 a.m. The church is located at 701 Bridgeville Highway, next to the armory.
'Service in Song' June 26
New Zion United Methodist Church, Laurel, will have the M.O.T. Male Choir "Service in Song" on Sunday, June 26, at 3:30 p.m., sponsored by the New Zion Senior Choir. The Rev. Timothy Duffield Sr., is the pastor. For more information call 875-0727.

Church of Nazarene concert
Nashville's own gospel group, Ernie Couch & Revival, will be in concert at Seaford Church of the Nazarene, on Sunday, July 10, at 6 p.m. Ernie Couch & Revival are known across the United States and Canada for hand-clapping, toe-tapping, high energy Southern Gospel music. Seaford Church of the Nazarene is located at 520 South Dual Highway in Seaford. (On Rt. 13 South just past the new Royal Farms store.) Church held annual picnic
On Sunday, June 12, the Seaford presbyterian Church had its annual picnic at Killen's Pond State Park, near Felton with 32 church members taking part.

Centenary Church VBS
Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will have Vacation Bible School from June 27-July 1, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Children from the ages of 4 through sixth grade are invited to attend. This year's program is called "Construction Zone Building Character Like Jesus." Each day, children will learn through the Bible story, music, songs, crafts, games and snacks. Gethsemane Church VBS
"Kingdom of the Son" Vacation Bible School at Gethsemane United Methodist Church, begins June 27 and continues through July 1, at 2701 Woodland Ferry Road, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Call 628-8149 for more information.

Evangelism classes coming
