Rabies, Distemper Clinic
Rabies and distemper vaccination clinic for cats and dogs ($5 for each pet), Georgetown Fire Station, S. Bedford Street. Saturday, June 25, 8 to 10 a.m. Proper carriers and leashes are required. Sponsored by Homeless Cat Helpers, Inc. Minimum ages are as follows: kittens - 12 weeks for rabies; 6 weeks for distemper; puppies - 16 weeks for rabies; 6 weeks for distemper. July 4th Barbcue in Laurel
American Legion Post 19, Laurel, Rt. 24, approximately one mile east of Laurel, serving 3-6 p.m. Platters are $5 with potato salad, bake beans, pickles and roll. Eat inside with air conditioning or outside on picnic tables. Take out available. Cold drinks for sale.

Trip to See Phillies
Christ United Methodist Church of Laurel has tickets to see the Philadelphia Phillies vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates, on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 7 p.m. The cost, including the bus, is $45. Call the church office at 875-4233. The bus will leave Christ Church at 3 p.m.

Trip to Rainbow Theater
AARP Chapter 5340 of Georgetown is offering a trip to see Neil Simon's comedy play "Plaza Suite" at the Rainbow Dinner Theater, Paradise, Pa. The bus will leave Georgetown Square East Market Street, Aug. 18, at 8 a.m. and return around 6:30 p.m. The cost for each person is $57, which includes a buffet lunch.
