Church to hold yard sale
The Seaford Presbyterian Church will hold a yard sale on Saturday, June 17, (rain date June 24) from 8 a.m. until noon outside the church on US 13A, north of the Army Reserve Center. There will also be a quilt raffle and bake table. All proceeds will benefit the children's activities of the church. Table rental is $10. Call 629-4324 or 629-8442 for details.

St. Luke's summer schedule
Summer service hours are now in effect at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford. Holy Eucharist will be offered at the 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. worship hour. Sunday School will commence in September. Pentecost will be observed on Sunday, June 11, and the Rev. Jeanne W. Kirby, rector of St. Luke's, encourages parishioners to wear red. On Sunday, June 18, the Rt. Rev. Wayne Wright, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Delaware, will be the officiant.

Exercise body and soul
Atlanta Road Alliance Church, Seaford, is sponsoring Body & Soul Aerobics & Strength Training. Classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 to 7 a.m. for four weeks. Buffet set for June 17
A fried chicken buffet will be held Saturday, June 17 at Bethany Church, Lowes Crossroads near Millsboro. Adults and carryouts - $7.50, children, $3. Serving will be held from 2 till 6 p.m. Bake table available. Latin Mass set for June 18
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5905 or 302-629-8863.
Bishop to visit Christ UMC
Christ United Methodist Church, Central Avenue, Laurel will celebrate Bishop Weaver's Day Sunday, June 18, at 10:30 a.m. Peter D. Weaver is the bishop of the Philadelphia area of the Methodist Church and will be the featured speaker. The celebration will include baptism, receiving new members, recognition of recent new members, and dedication of the newly acquired Miracle House. Elected in July 1996, Weaver was assigned to the Philadelphia Area of the United Methodist Church which includes 240,000 members and 1,000 churches in the Eastern Pennsylvania and Peninsula-Delaware conferences. Along with serving on the Council of Bishops of the United Methodist Church, he serves on the Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century Committee, the Goodwill International Centennial Committee, the ecumenical leaders Forum for Philadelphia, the ecumenical Council of Delaware, the Boards of Albright, Lebanon Valley, and Wesley Colleges and Drew University and a number of other church related institutions and committees. His international visits for the church have included Russia, Eastern Europe, Africa and South Korea.

Bible school to start June 19
Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel will host SonZone Discovery Center Vacation Bible School June 19 through 23 with a morning session from 9 to 11:45 and an evening session from 6:30 to 8:30. Church to host 'Rejoice'
A concert of Christian music will be presented by the music ensemble, "Rejoice," from Toccoa Falls College, Toccoa Falls, Ga., Wednesday, June 28, at 7 p.m. at Atlanta Road Alliance Church, Seaford. The concert will consist of a mix of conservative, contemporary, gospel songs, and hymns. For more information, call 629-7693. The church is located on Atlanta Road, 1 and 1/2 miles north of the Nylon Capitol Shopping Plaza, next to Seaford Animal Hospital.
