Community Prayer Revival
Members of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (Seaford) Vestry will be attending the Community Prayer Revival on Wednesday, June 15, being held at the corner of 3rd and North streets. All are invited to attend this time of unity in the community. Kay Truitt, Mary Esther Mills, Ruthe Wainwright and Jane Watson, members of the Shepherds Team, have completed the training in Prevention of Child Abuse in Church Settings and Prevention of Adult Sexual Exploitation/Harassment. This seminar is mandatory training for anyone who does Church visitations. Bible Study continues at the home of Aileen and Bill Watkins on Fridays at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Centenary Church VBS
Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will have Vacation Bible School from June 27-July 1, 9 to 11:30 a.m. Children from the ages of 4 through sixth grade are invited to attend. This year’s program is called “Construction Zone — Building Character Like Jesus.” Each day, children will learn through the Bible story, music, songs, crafts, games and snacks. Pre-registration is encouraged by picking up a form at the church, or by calling 875-3983.

‘Musical Event’ at Mt. Calvary
On Sunday, June 11, a “spectacular Musical Event” will take place at 6 p.m., at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, Concord. The Homecoming Choir and the Sussex Community Gospel Mass Choir are combining their talents to form an Interdenominational Mass Choir. There will be a free will offering. The Cash Family will sing at Blades United Methodist Church (South Market Street) on Sunday, June 12, at 11 a.m.

Father’s Day program
The Father’s Day singing program that was scheduled for June 18 at the United Church of the Nazarene, 4718 Jackson St., Hurlock, Md., has been canceled due to illness of one of the group members. The service will continue, but not with the singers, and the prizes will still be awarded to the oldest, youngest, and father with the most children. For more information phone 1-410-943-0900.

Ninety & Nine dinner meeting
The Ninety & Nine extends an invitation to all women to join them for their regular quarterly dinner meeting at The Seaford Golf & Country Club in Seaford on Monday, June 20, at 6:30 p.m. The Ninety & Nine is a ministry which was formed in 1984 by a group of women who care about the needs of others. There are no membership dues to pay. A couple of young ladies will be acting out a presentation entitled “The Gift.” The singers will be Abundant Joy which includes Kim Willey, Reneé Wyatt and Ivy Band. Abundant Joy has been singing in various churches and fellowships on the Eastern Shore for the past 2-1/2 years. Reservations are necessary. Deadline is June 14 or as soon as seats are sold out. Laurel Prayer breakfast
Tickets are available for the Laurel Fourth of July Prayer Breakfast. Tickets at $10 each may be purchased at Bev’s Specs or by calling the Laurel Chamber of Commerce office at 875-9319. Deadline for ticket purchase is Wednesday, June 22. The breakfast begins at 8 a.m. at Laurel Centenary Church.
