SMS band plans concert
The Seaford Middle School band, "The Sound and the Fury," will present its annual spring concert in the Seaford High School auditorium Tuesday, June 5, at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Vendors sought for July 4
The Laurel Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for food, craft and art vendors for the Independence Day Celebration. The fee for food vendors is $100 ($50 for non-profit) and for craft vendors, $50 (non-profits $35). The festival will take place Wednesday, July 4, along Central Avenue and Broad Creek. Winston Cup driver to visit
Steve Park driver of the DEI-owned #1 Pennzoil Chevrolet and winner of the 2001 Rockingham race will be at Saturn of Salisbury on US 13 Thursday, May 31, at 7 p.m., to sign autographs. Saturn of Salisbury is part of the Winner Group.

Kiwanis plan golf tourney
The Seaford Kiwanis Club will hold its 15th annual Foundation Golf Tournament Friday, June 15, at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. Proceeds will go to the club's foundation endowment which provides scholarships each year. Businesses are welcome to sponsor events or donate door prizes. The entry fee will include buffet lunch, golf fee, cart, hospitality cart, and awards party. Every participant will receive a bag of goodies and door prizes will be handed out. Awards up to $250 of merchandise, certificates for closest to the pin and straightest drive, plus a new car and other prizes will be given. The tourney is limited to the first 96 entrants.
