Treasure Store to open
On Saturday, May 28, at 8 a.m. the doors will open for the Lifeway Church of God's Treasure Store on Main Street in Greenwood. The store will have children's clothes and toys, dishes, pictures, appliances, furniture and adult clothing. All items in the store have been donated and proceeds will go toward the operations of the new ministry, Esther House. Lifeway Church (formerly the Bridgeville Church of God) has transformed their unused parsonage into a home for young pregnant women. There is a need in the community to help young pregnant women between the ages of 18 and 29 who become pregnant in a crisis situation. For more information, phone 337-3044. St. Luke's Episcopal
May 29 is the last Sunday for church school, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Seaford, until September. June 5 begins one service on Sundays at 9 a.m. Following this service fellowship time will be in the church yard with lemonade, cookies and visiting. Also a reminder that Holy Eucharist is celebrated at The Manor House the second Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. using Rite One.
Concert at Alliance
Tenor Paul Pitts, known as the "Pavorotti of Christian music," will be in concert at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Sunday, May 29, at 7 p.m. Described as having one of the most beautiful voices in existence today, he has been heard worldwide in almost 5,000 performances on seven continents. The concert is free and open to the public; an offering will be received. The Atlanta Road Alliance Church is located at 22625 Atlanta Road, Seaford, 1-1/2 miles north of the intersection of Stein Highway and Atlanta Road. Cash Family concert
The Cash Family will perform at Laurel Baptist Church on Sunday, June 12 beginning at 7 p.m. The Cash Family are from Felton and are Angel Mountain Gospel Recording Artists. For further information, call the Rev. Steven Booth, at 875-7998.
