AAUW social rescheduled
The dessert social sponsored by the Seaford chapter of the AAUW has been rescheduled for Wednesday, May 30, at 7:30 p.m. Sue Manlove will be the host. For further information, call Diane LeCompte at 629-2249.

Vendors sought for July 4
The Laurel Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for food, craft and art vendors for the Independence Day Celebration. The fee for food vendors is $100 ($50 for non-profit) and for craft vendors, $50 (non-profits $35). The festival will take place Wednesday, July 4, along Central Avenue and Broad Creek. Ruritan Club breakfast set
Galestown Ruritan Club holds a breakfast buffet the fourth Sunday of the month from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Galestown Community House. This month's breakfast will be May 27. Cost is $5 per person and carry-outs will be available.

'Odd Couple' tickets on sale
Possum Point Players and Discover Bank will present "The Odd Couple" (the female version) June 22, 23 29 and 30 at 8 p.m. and June 24 and July 1 at 2 p.m. Prices are $11 or $9 for students/seniors for the matinee performance only. For reservations, call 856-4560. For more information, call 856-3460. Possum Point Players is taking applications for the 2001 Summer Children's Theatre Academy. The academy will take place from July 30 to Aug. 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Possum Hall in Georgetown. Youth entering grades three through eight will be accepted. Tuition is $110 for the week and students are required to bring a bag lunch. The academy provides basic theatrical training. For an application, call 856-4560.

Hudson Center plans picnic
Hudson Health Services Inc. is holding its 21st annual alumni picnic Saturday, June 2, noon till 3 p.m. on the Willis W. Hudson Campus in Salisbury. This year's theme is Hawaiian. Hawaiian attire is optional. The first picnic in 1980 was held to celebrate Willis W. Hudson's birthday, the namesake for Hudson Health Services Inc. For additional information call 410-219-9000.
