Seaford Swimming Association - The Seaford Swimming Association, a private, family-oriented pool, located west of Seaford on Craig’s Mill Pond Road, is accepting memberships for the summer swimming season. Open house is Monday, May 26, from 2-5 p.m. Call Connie Halter at 628-0554.
Community Pool opens soon - The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation announces that the Community Pool will open Memorial Day weekend, May 30. Memberships are available. Swim lessons for youth will be available. Rentals for Pool Parties, Birthday Parties, etc., will also be available. Call 629-6809.
Seaford Block Watch May 17 - Seaford Block Watch will hold a Spring Clean-up on Saturday, May 17, 9 to 11 a.m. One hour of your time would be appreciated. Meet at St. John’s parking lot on Pine Street for directions, bags and gloves. Rain Date is May 24.
Seaford's ‘Day in the Park’ - Seaford’s “Day in the Park” will be held on May 17-18, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., at the Olympic Field/The Jay’s Nest. This will be a day of fun, food and games for the whole family. Sunday breakfast at the VFW - The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4961 on Middleford Road in Seaford is having an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast on Sunday, May 18, at the Post. The breakfast, held from 8 until 11 a.m., includes meats, eggs cooked to order, pancakes, toast, coffee and juice. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Woodbridge voters decide on two - William C. Passwaters received 243 votes to edge out Robert G. Cannon for a member-at-large two-year term on the Woodbridge School Board.
Shawn D. Bowman received 266 votes Saturday to win a five-year term over Robert Mitchell (163 votes) and Matthew Opaliski (9 votes).
