Prom to be May 12
The Laurel Senior High School prom will be Saturday, May 12.The grand march begins at 5:30 p.m. in the high school gymnasium. Students should arrive at the high school by 5 p.m. The doors will open for ticket holders only at 4:30 p.m. and at 5 for the general public. Tickets cost $2. The dance will be held at Dove Point in Salisbury, beginning at 7 p.m.

Children's programs at library
Family Story Hour will be held at the Laurel Public Library on Wednesday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. This year's Summer Reading Program will begin in June. Call 875-3184 for more information.

Bake sale set for May 12
A bake sale will be held on Saturday, May 12, 8 a.m. at Food Lion in Delmar. This is sponsored by St. Stephen's Methodist Church trustees.
Take walk through history
Kendal Jones will lead a walking tour of a portion of the Laurel Historic District - Delaware's largest - on May 15, and again on May 16. The tour will begin in front of the Laurel Public Library at 1 p.m. each day. It should last approximately one hour. Reservations are not necessary unless for large groups by calling 875-5678. There is no charge. The society is offering these tours in observation of National Preservation Week, May 13-19. Also, continuing at the Laurel Public Library is the society's collection of photographs from the Waller Studio which operated from 1897 to 1970.

Thursday, May 10 - 8 a.m., quilting; 9 a.m., exercise; 9:30 a.m., bowling; 10 a.m., cards and games; 11:30 a.m., lunch; 12:30 p.m., discussion; 1 p.m., grocery shopping.
Friday, May 11 - LSC closed. LADC open, appreciation banquet at CHEER Community Center.
Monday, May 14 - Center closed. LADC open. Laurel Senior Center will attend the Mother's Day celebration CHEER Community Center.
Tuesday, May 15 - Quilting; 9 a.m., exercise; 9:45 a.m., shopping at Seaford; 10 a.m., cards and games; 11:30 a.m. lunch; 12:30 p.m., legal aid.
Wednesday, May 16 - 9 a.m., line dancing; 10 a.m., cards and games; 10 a.m., choir practice; 10:30 a.m., hymn sing; 11 a.m., Bible study; 11:30 a.m., lunch; 12:30 p.m., walking; 5 p.m., covered dish.
Thursday, May 17 - Closed for a trip to Sailwinds Park, Cambridge, Md.
Friday, May 18 - 9 a.m., line dancing; 10 a.m., cards and games; 10 a.m., grocery shopping; 11:340 a.m.,
