TRIAD to meet May 10
The Western Sussex County TRIAD will meet Thursday, May 10, 10 a.m., at the Nanticoke Senior Center, 310 Virginia Ave., Seaford. The topic will be transients and con-artists.

AARP plans dinner meeting
Seaford Chapter #1084 of the American Association of Retired Persons will hold its annual dinner meeting Thursday, May 10, 6 p.m., at the Laurel American Legion Home, 1 and 1/2 miles east of Laurel. May Fair planned at church
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Stein Highway, Seaford, will hold a May Fair Saturday, May 12, 8 a.m. till 1 p.m. There will be a yard sale and a baked-goods table and lunch, including homemade soup, hot dogs and hamburgers, will be served. A money raffle will be drawn at 1 p.m.

Auxiliary plans yearly auction
On Saturday, May 19, 5 p.m., the Nanticoke Health Services Auxiliary will host their annual dinner/auction at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. The dinner will mark the 50th anniversary of the auxiliary's founding. Auctioneer will be Don Moore. Tickets are $50 each with $25 as a deductible donation to the hospital. Celebrating archaeology
On Tuesday, May 22, at 7 p.m. at the Methodist Manor House, Dr. Clara L. Blume will talk about archaeology in the Nanticoke watershed as part of the celebration of Delaware Archaeology Month. Since 1982, Blume has worked for the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation where she has been instrumental in creating a program to protect archaeological sites and historic buildings in Delaware's state parks. She received her master's in anthropology/archaeology from the Catholic University of America in 1978 and her doctorate from the same institution in 1995. This program is jointly sponsored by the Methodist Manor House, the Seaford Historical Society and the Seaford Public Library. For further information call Dixie Carlisle at 628-5631.

AAUW dessert social May 24
The Seaford branch of the AAUW will hold a dessert social Thursday, May 24, at 7 p.m. Sue Manlove will be host. Members will meet the club's new scholarship winner. For more information, contact Diane LeCompte at 629-2249.
