Possum Point Players' "Man of LaMancha," an upbeat, musical rendition
of the life of Don Quixote featuring the hit song, "Dream The Impossible
Dream," will open April 28. Tickets are still available for the April
28, May 5 and 6 performances, which begin at 8 p.m., and for the 2
p.m. performances on April 30 and May 7. Tickets are $13 each, and
for the matinee shows only, there are senior and students tickets

Beekeepers meeting May 2
The Delaware Beekeepers Association/Sussex County is inviting the
public to learn how to get honey bees for the 2000 season. Beekeeper
John Isenhour, will explain the advantages and pitfalls at the May
2 meeting of the association.
The meeting will be at 7:30 at the University of Delaware Agricultural
Research and Education Center on US 9, Georgetown. For details call

Supper will include oysters
A buffet supper featuring oysters will be held Saturday, May 6, 6
p.m., at Cokesbury Community Center, near Reliance. The public is
invited. Price is $8. There will be one seating only and no carry
outs will be available. This is sponsored by United Methodist Women.
Fashion show set for May 25
The Sussex County Women's Democrat Club's sixth annual fashion show
will be Thursday, May 25, at Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown.
The luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. The fashions will be from Cullum's
Apparel of Georgetown.

Be SGCC member for a day
Seaford Golf and Country Club invites families to visit the club Saturday,
June 3, at noon. After a brief orientation, visitors will be welcome
to have lunch, play a round of golf, use the tennis courts, or go
for a swim in the pool. The only cost will be for food and beverage
and the cart fee for golf. The initiation fee is being waived for
anyone who joins the club this year.

AAUW dessert social planned
The Seaford Branch of AAUW will host a dessert social on Tuesday,
May 23. Sue Manlove will be hostess and the program will begin at
7 p.m. Guests include this year's scholarship winner and a previous
winner, Justin Caldro. Justin will talk about her experiences in college
and recent travel adventures.
The AAUW will also be giving savings bonds to two middle school students
for their achievements in the annual science fair. For more information,
