Hymn sing set for April 29
Wesley United Methodist Church, 3 miles northwest of Seaford on Atlanta Road, will host a hymn sing Sunday, April 29, 6:30 p.m. Music will be provided by the Lights of Home, Laurel. Refreshments will follow. For details, call 629-7222.

Native Americans day set
Trinity Church of Dublin Hill will celebrate Native American Sunday April 29 at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Trinity to host singing

B'ville prayer breakfast set
The Kiwanis club of Bridgeville is sponsoring a community prayer breakfast Saturday, May 5, 8 a.m., at the Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville. Featured speaker is David Burke of the Methodist Conference Youth Services. Tickets are $7 and will be at the door.

Galestown plans yard sale
A yard sale will be held at Galestown Community Hall, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.,Saturday, April 28. Baked goods will be for sale, as well as scrapple sandwiches, hot dogs and beef vegetable soup. Tables may be rented for $5 each. For details, call 883-2149.

Portsville luncheon set
Portsville United Methodist Women will sponsor an oyster fritter and chicken salad luncheon Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The church is at Portsville Road and Dogwood Lane, 3 miles west of Laurel.

Gethsemane plans fair
Gethsemane United Methodist Church will have a flower fair Saturday, May 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be available along with homemade ice cream and a bake sale. There will also be a car wash and a free blood pressure check. Gethsemane is 4 miles west of Seaford at the corner of Rt. 20 and Woodland Road. For details, call 629-9161.

Concert to help Hope House
Centenary United Methodist Church in Laurel will host a concert Sunday, April 29, 3 p.m., to benefit Hope House, a homeless shelter under construction in Laurel. For details, call 629-5456.

Gospel music to fill night air
St. Paul's United Methodist Church, in Laurel near Hearns Crossroads, will host an evening of gospel music Sunday, April 29, 7 p.m., featuring the St. Paul Singers. Refreshments will be served.

Youth Day to be April 29
Clarence Street Church of God will hold Youth Day Sunday, April 29. The Rev. David W. Russell, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, Camden, N.J., will speak at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. His choir will perform at the afternoon service.

Community prayer set
A Bridgeville-area community prayer gathering to commemorate National Day of Prayer will be Thursday, May 3, 5:30 p.m., at Bridgeville Historical Society Park, Williams Street and Delaware Avenue. In case of rain the service will be at Union United Methodist Church.

Dinner set at Centenary
An all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be served by Centenary Promise Keepers at Centenary United Methodist Church, Laurel, Saturday, May 5, 4 to 7 p.m. Cost for adults is $5 and for children 6 to 12, $3. Children under 6 are admitted free.

Oysters to be part of supper
Cokesbury Community Center, near Reliance, is hosting a buffet supper featuring oysters Saturday, May 5.

Mifflin family to perform
The scholarship committee of Mt. Calvary AME Church in Concord will hold a benefit concert Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. The Mifflin Family from Georgetown will perform. Refreshments will follow.
