Don’t forget that next Saturday (April 26) is opening day for the Delmar Little League. The parade starts at 9 a.m.
Sally Beauchamp, Nancy Eicoltz, Dorothy Tebo, Michele White, Tammy Shockley, Jennifer Teagle, Peni Adams, Emily Stone, Monica Shubert and Shalyn Shubert enjoyed a weekend in Hampton, Va., at a Christian conference to hear Joyce Myers.
We send our sympathy to the families and friends of Audrey Matilda (Elliott) Spicer, Doris K. West and Louise A. Foskey. Our get-well wishes and prayers go to Ruth Webster (Brenda Morris’ mother) who is a patient at Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
Laurel Saddle Friends had another successful game show Saturday. Their next show will be Saturday, May 10, starting at 6 p.m. Mark your calendars and come on down to enjoy an evening to watch the cowboys and cowgirls of all ages participate in the different events to show how good their horses are and just to have fun. The kitchen will be opened and they serve some pretty good food.
Jermaine Holland and DeAngelo Willis have qualified to attend the 2003 national FFA convention In Louisville, Ky.
Jessica Morgan, Tristan Siegel, Amber Dorman, Scott Slavens, Erin Thomas and Amanda Gonzales, selected for the Sussex County Honors Band, performed on March 27. Jessica also attended a “flute fling” at James Madison University, March 28-30. Wayne Smith, band director, has been selected as the Sussex County High School Honors Band chairman for 2004.
Jonathan Workman was selected to represent Maryland at the 2003 National 4-H conference March 30 through April 5 in Chevy Chase, Md.
A very special thanks to Carol Kline, coordinator for the Middle States. The process was concluded last Thursday. Delmar was recommended for accreditation and commended for its outstanding programs and school environment.

Delmar Alumni Banquet
The first annual Delmar Alumni Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 26, at 6 p.m., at Delmar VFW, W. State Street, Delmar, Md. An Eastern Shore Buffet will be served and music will be by a D.J. Cost is $20 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Delmar Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. For more information call 410-896-2594.
