Local people brave the rain last Friday to protest abortion. The Chain of Life was formed in front of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stein Highway, Seaford.

Bible center plans fund-raiser
The Bible Center Christian Academy will hold a Night of Elegance fund-raiser at the Delmar Convention Center, Delmar, Saturday, April 21, 6 until 9 p.m. Tickets are $30 at the door. Trinity to hold carnival
Trinity Church at Dublin Hill will hold a carnival Saturday, April 21, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a petting zoo, games and food. Proceeds will benefit UNICEF.

Mt. Calvary plans revival
Mt. Calvary AME Church in Concord will hold a spring revival April 23, 24 and 25, at 7 p.m. Evangelist Carolyn Vessel from Way of Life AME Church in Chicago, Ill., will speak. The scholarship committee of Mt. Calvary will hold a benefit concert Sunday, April 29, at 3 p.m. The Mifflin Family from Georgetown will perform. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Hymn sing set for April 29
Wesley United Methodist Church, 3 miles northwest of Seaford on Atlanta Road, will host a hymn sing Sunday, April 29, 6:30 p.m. Music will be provided by the Lights of Home, Laurel. Refreshments will follow. For details, call 629-7222.

Spring Festival April 21
Shiloh Community Church, Laurel, will host a yard sale Saturday, April 21, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., with oyster and chicken salad sandwiches and baked goods.

Native Americans day set
Trinity Church of Dublin Hill will celebrate Native American Sunday April 29 at 4 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Trinity to host singing
Trinity's Friday Nite Opry on Friday, April 20, will feature Bill Dorey. On Friday, April 27, Ron Wyatt and The Morning Star Singers will sing. Both concerts begin at 7 p.m. Trinity United Methodist Church of Laurel is located near Trap Pond, east of Laurel. A day just for ushers

B'ville prayer breakfast set
The Kiwanis club of Bridgeville is sponsoring a community prayer breakfast Saturday, May 5, 8 a.m., at the Union United Methodist Church in Bridgeville. Featured speaker is David Burke of the Methodist Conference Youth Services. Tickets are $7 and will be available at the door.
