Fund Raiser at Roadhouse
The Roadhouse Steak Joint will host a fund raiser for the Sussex County Return Day from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Wednesday, April 28. Members of the Sussex County Return Day committee will assist Roadhouse wait staff between 5 and 8 p.m. The Roadhouse, located at Midway Shopping Center in Rehoboth Beach, will donate 10 percent of its entire daily proceeds to Sussex County Return Day.
Rotary Polo Event Upcoming
Georgetown-Millsboro Rotary Club fund raiser, “Polio Aweigh” will be on Saturday, April 17, 5:30-8 p.m., at CHEER Center, Rt. 9, Georgetown.Wines from the United States, Italy and Australia will be sampled along with an array of cheese, meat and fruit. Alternative beverages will be available. A silent auction with donated items range from golf outings to a weekend getaway at the Brighton Suites in Rehoboth Beach. The Laurel Alumni Association Cow Drop will be April 18. Tickets are for sale at O’Neal Bros., MCM Jewelers, and the Insurance Market for $10 per square. This is a major fund raiser for scholarships.
Ruritan Basket Bingo
Sussex Central Ruritan Basket Bingo, Saturday, May 8, at Millsboro Fire Hall. Proceeds will be used for the Ruritan scholarship fund, and other community projects. The Basket Bingo will feature 20 games and three raffle drawings, including a surprise basket with Longaberger signatures. Refreshments will be served. The Seaford Department of Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a bus trip to the Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday, May 1, cost $13 per person. Visit the aquarium, browse the shops, or take the water taxi around the harbor. There are plenty of places to eat, shop and enjoy yourself.
