Key Club collects 34 pints of blood for Blood Bank
In February, the Woodbridge High School Key Club held a blood drive for the Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore. They collected 34 pints of blood during this year's drive.
The goal of the Blood Bank of Delaware/Eastern Shore's blood drive is to provide students with a positive first-time blood donation experience. Everyone involved in Woodbridge High's blood drive, including the students, the donors and their advisor Mr. Pallace, played an important role in the blood drive.

Woodbridge FFA students compete at state convention
The Woodbridge FFA Chapter successfully participated in this year's 70th Delaware State FFA Convention held at the University of Delaware.
Eight students and one alumnus represented the district. The students competed against 26 other FFA chapters in the state.
The parliamentary procedure team placed fourth in the state. The team consisted of Melissa Layton, president; Debbie Carroll, secretary; Jeromy Poore, Tory Stogner, Brandy Salvage and Tara Jones.
Steve Breeding served as the 2000-2001 state FFA treasurer. Tara Jones also represented the state of Delaware in Louisville, Ky., this fall at the national convention as a member of the National FFA Chorus.
Receiving one of the highest honors at the convention, the Star State Farmer Degree, was WHS alumnus Chris Breeding. "It is truly an honor and privilege to obtain this award," he said.
Will Curry is the advisor for the Woodbridge FFA. He received help from Debbie Stogner and Starlyn Adams while the team was preparing for the convention.

Connor named to Academic All-State wrestling team
John Conner, a senior at Woodbridge High School, was named to the Academic All State second team in wrestling. John is the son of Wayne and Phyllis Conner of Bridgeville. He will attend the University of Delaware in the fall.

Kindergarten registration set for April 18 in Bridgeville
The Woodbridge School District will hold kindergarten registration on Tuesday, April 28, from 1-7 p.m., at the Woodbridge Early Childhood Education Center, 48 Church St., Bridgeville. Parents will need to bring with them:
• Child's birth certificate
• Child's Social Security card
• Child's immunizations records
• Last physical examination.
