Towne & Country Fair Prayer Breakfast
The Greater Seaford Chamber of Commerce, Seaford Historical Society, Seaford Ministerium and Seaford Kiwanis are holding a Prayer Breakfast at the Towne & Country Fair on Saturday, May 22, beginning at 8 a.m. The Prayer Breakfast will be held in a tent on the grounds of the Governor Ross Plantation, North Pine Street Extended, Seaford. A limited number of tickets are available at $10 each. St. Lukeís Holy Week
The Solemn Good Friday Liturgy (April 9) takes place at noon at St. Lukeís Church in Seaford. No Eucharist is celebrated, but Holy Communion from the Reserved Sacrament will be given. The Stations of the Cross will be observed in the evening at 7 p.m. Holy Saturday (April 10) service will be at 10 a.m. Again no Eucharist is celebrated, but the Prayer Book provides a brief liturgy including an anthem from the Burial of the Dead. At 8 p.m., the Great Easter Vigil begins with a lighted candle in the darkened church until the church is filled with light. Special readings, blessing of water and baptisms, and the celebration of the first Eucharist of Easter. There will be one service on Easter Day, April 11, at 10 a.m. with celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Centenary Holy week
Centenary United Methodist Church, Poplar and Market streets, Laurel, will hold a Maundy Thursday service, at 7 p.m., on April 8. Communion will be offered during the service of darkness (Tenebrae). The Community Good Friday service will also be held at Centenary U.M.C. on April 9, at 7 p.m. Area churches will participate in the service featuring the Stations of the Cross and the last sayings of Jesus.

Trinity Dublin Hill
Trinity Dublin Hill United Methodist Church will have a Maundy Thursday Service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. There will be a community Easter Egg Hunt for the youth of the community at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10. On Sunday, April 11, there will be a sunrise service at 7 a.m. followed by a breakfast at 8:15 a.m. and the Easter Service at 9:30 a.m.

Trinity Sunrise Service
Trinity United Methodist Church, near Trap Pond, will hold Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 11, at 6:30 a.m. A fellowship breakfast will follow the service. Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. and Morning Worship at 10 a.m. with a choir presentation of Glory in the Cross. All are invited.

Mt. Calvary cemetery cleanup
The Trustees of Mt. Calvary United Methodist Church, Bridgeville, are asking all family member and friends who have loved ones buried in Mt. Calvary Cemetery on Middleford Road to come out on Saturday, April 17, at 8 a.m. to help to clean up the cemetery. All women, men and youth are invited to help with this project. St. Philipís Holy Week
St. Philipís Episcopal Church, Laurel, will have the following services during Holy Week: Thursday, April 8, Maundy Thursday, Eucharist and Stripping of Altar, at 7 p.m. Celebrant - Fr. Jack Chamblin. Friday, April 9, Good Friday, at noon, Stations of the Cross, with lay readers Ray Guest and Ken Athey. Sunday, April 11, Easter Sunday, Holy Eucharist, at 9:30 a.m. Celebrant - Fr. Jack Chamblin.
Asbury UMC Services
Asbury United Methodist Church, near Hardscrabble, will hold a Maundy Thursday service April 8 at 7 p.m. with special music by Cathy Gorma, and a brief message by Pastor Gray followed by communion. This Maundy Thursday candlelight communion has been a tradition of Asbury for many years. The Easter Sunrise Service will be at 8 oíclock with light refreshments following the service.

Christ Evangelistic Church
Paul and Susie Luchsinger, sister of Reba McEntire, will be at Christ Evangelistic Church on April 9, at 7 p.m. for the Good Friday service, on Saturday, April 10, at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., for the Couples Conference, and on Sunday, April 11, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., for Easter Services.

Two services at St. Paulís
St. Paulís United Methodist Church in Laurel will have two services on Easter Sunday, April 11. According to Pastor Don Murray, it will be decided if the change in schedule will be continued.

Second missions conference
To kick off the Bridgeville Church of Godís second annual missions conference weekend, Bishop Lovell R. Carey, director of the Church of God World Missions, will speak at the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday, April 25. For more information call the church office at 337-3044.

Pancake and sausage supper
The Laurel Wesleyan Church Children Ministry will have a pancake and sausage buffet supper on Friday, April 16, from 5:30 to7:30 p.m. Adults are $6 and children 4-12 are $3 (children under 3 are free). All proceeds will go to the childrenís summer camp scholarship fund. For tickets or for more for information, phone the church office at 875-5380.

Latin Mass April 18
A Latin mass according to the Missal of 1962 is celebrated on the third Sunday of every month at 3 p.m. at Holy Cross Church in Dover. The mass will be celebrated on April 18. The mass is always a Missa Cantata using traditional Gregorian chant. For further information, call 302-674-5905 or 302-629-8863.

Gospel concert April 24
The Anchormen Quartet from Goldsboro, N.C., will perform a Gospel concert on Saturday, April 24, at 7 p.m. at the Refuge Temple Revival Center in Seaford (Leon Williams is the pastor). A free will offering will be taken.
