Fund Raiser at Roadhouse
The Roadhouse Steak Joint will host a fund raiser for the Sussex County Return Day from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Wednesday, April 28. Members of the Sussex County Return Day committee will assist Roadhouse wait staff between 5 and 8 p.m. The Roadhouse, located at Midway Shopping Center in Rehoboth Beach, will donate 10 percent of its entire daily proceeds to Sussex County Return Day.

Epworth Friday Night Madness
Epworth Christian School in Laurel “Friday Night Madness” yard sale, Friday, April 16, from 6 p.m. to midnight, rain or shine in the school gym with 200+ families participating. Chili, soup and hot dogs will be for sale. There will be adults’ and children’s clothing, toys, linens, and much more. Epworth is located at 14511 Sycamore Road in Laurel. Call 875-4488.

Craft and Yard Sale
Wheatley Church craft and yard sale in the community hall, Saturday, April 17, at 7 a.m. The hall is located at the intersection of Wheatley Church Road and Sharptown Road near Galestown, Md. Vendors’ spaces will be available. Breakfast and oyster sandwiches, and homemade soup will be sold. To reserve a vendor space or for more information, call Beverly Wheatley at 410-883-3246. This activity is for the benefit of the Wheatley Church Preservation Fund.

Visually Impaired Support Group
The Seaford Visually Impaired Support Group meets in the activity room of the Methodist Manor House on the first and third Thursday of each month from 1:30-3 p.m. The group meets to share concerns, support one another and to celebrate victories that they have had in dealing with life’s challenges. Anyone with a vision problem or his or her caregiver is welcome to attend. There is no charge and the group is open to the public. For more information call Robert Gray at 629-6204.

Sunday Breakfast Buffet
Sunday breakfast by the Galestown Ruritan Club, April 25, from 7-10 a.m. at the Galestown (Md.) Community Hall. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 children ages 6-12.

Chicken Barbecue April 10

Lewes Book Signing April 17
A book signing for Vol. 6 of “The Journal of the Lewes Historical Society” will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., on Saturday, April 17. Meet local historian/authors at Books by the Bay, 111 Bank Street, in historic downtown Lewes.

Mustang Club Cruise-In
The Lower Delaware Mustang Club’s cruise-ins are back at the Wal-Mart in Seaford. Cruise-ins are held the first Saturday of every month from April through October, from 5-8 p.m. The first cruise in on April 10 will be a canned food drive and the first 100 cars will receive a dash plaque.

Basket Bingo on April 8
The Tidewater and Small Wonders Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals will have a Basket Bingo, Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m. at the Seaford Moose, U.S. 13A in Seaford. There will be 20 games and will feature several basket combinations including the 2004 Easter Set. Advance tickets are $20 per person, $25 at the door. Advance ticket includes a chance to win a special door prize. Refreshments will be available. CHEER Basket Bingo
Basket Bingo, to benefit the CHEER Community Center, Tuesday, April 13. Doors Open 6 p.m. Bingo Starts at 7 p.m. The CHEER Center is located on the corner of Rt. 9 and Sandhill Road, Georgetown. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Food donated by Jimmy’s Grille. AARP Seaford Chapter 1084 will meet Thursday, April 8, at the Methodist Manor House Fellowship Hall, 1:30 p.m. Guest speaker will be Laurel Town Manager Glenn Steckman. Seaford Chapter of the AARP-Widowed Persons Service meeting Tuesday, April 20, 12:30 p.m. at the Golden Corral. The planned guest speaker will be Odette Wright, representing the Nanticoke Indians. All widowed persons of all ages are invited to attend.

Manor House Plans NY Trip

The Methodist Manor House will host a 2-day/1-night trip to New York City on Dec. 15, 16.
