Native American Heritage
In recognition of Native American Ministries Sunday, Concord United Methodist Church will be hosting “Nakakakena” Boe Harris of Seaford during their 9 a.m. worship service on Sunday, April 10. Harris is a mixed ancestry American Indian: Dakota, Chippewa, French, English, and a Maryland Eastern Shore tribe that is still being researched. An enrolled tribal member of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians of North Dakota, Harris has shared her Plains Indian heritage since 1976. Harris is also a northern traditional dancer and dances at gatherings in the United States and Europe. The service will close with a song and friendship dance led by Harris, and afterwards she will answer questions and have several Native American items on display. The Rev. Diane E. Vendors for St. John's
Vendors are needed for the St. John’s United Methodist Church indoor yard sale on Saturday, April 16, from 7 to 11 a.m. Proceeds will benefit local missions. Tables are $10 for personals and $20 for businesses. Call 628-0329 for table reservations.

Concert at Atlanta Alliance
The Greenwood Mennonite School Chorale will be in concert at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church, Seaford, on Sunday, April 17, at 7 p.m. The chorale features students from grades 9-12. Believing that God has given the gift of music to humanity for the purpose of giving Him praise and glory, the chorale, under the direction of Kevin Yoder, presents a variety of styles from traditional, classical and contemporary music. The concert is free; an offering will be received. The Atlanta Road Alliance Church is one and one-half miles north of the intersection of Stein Highway and Atlanta Road. Gospel Music in Millsboro
There will be an evening of Gospel music to benefit the Christian Storehouse, Standing in the Gap Program, on Saturday, April 16, at 6 p.m. at the Millsboro Wesleyan Church. Featured groups will be the Old Time Gospel Singers, The Gospel Gents and the Melodies of Praise. For additional information call 875-1158.

St. John AME Zion concert
Ben Fulton and the Sensationals, from Milford will be in full concert at St. John AME Zion Church, Ross Point, Laurel, on Sunday, April 17, at 4 p.m.

Union Station Diner
Union United Methodist Church, 2 N. Laws St., Bridgeville, (across from the bank) will be holding its monthly Union Station Dinner on Wednesday, April 27, from 5 to 7 p.m.; $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. They will be serving roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. Call the church for questions at 302-337-7409.

Wesley UMC yard sale
Wesley United Methodist Church will be having a yard sale on Saturday, May 14, on the church grounds. Rain date is May 21. The time will be from 7 a.m. to noon. Spaces are 10 ft. wide and 20 ft. deep. (One vehicle per space). The cost of a space is $10. Provide your own table or rent one for $7 (while they last). Church food pantry
Shiloh Community Church, Laurel, announces the opening of a food pantry to help the needs of people in the community. The food pantry is stocked with a large variety of canned goods, cereal and dried goods which will be given, at no cost, to the needy. If you would like to visit the pantry, call Patricia Malinchak at 245-1807 to schedule a time. The church does not have the facilities to deliver the food.
Church of Christ hymn sing
There will be an old-fashioned hymn sing on Sunday, April 10, 2:30-4 p.m. at the Seaford Church of Christ, 20989 Sussex Highway, Seaford. No collections will be taken and light refreshments will be served. Call 629-6206.

House of Praise event
The following events will be happening at The House of Praise For All People, 10280 Shawnee Road, Greenwood: On Saturday, April 16 - A Marriage Seminar with Dr. Fred Antonelli, Ph.D. entitled “Marriage Management.” Registration is required. The cost is $50 per couple. Antonelli is an ordained minister of 23 years and the founder and director of Life Counseling Center in Easton. He is a clinically licensed counselor with the National Christian Counselors Association and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Antonelli hosted a syndicated Christian radio show for nine years entitled “Rock Alive” for teens and young adults. Sunday, April 24 - Dennis DeGrasse will be speaking Sunday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. He will be teaching from the scriptures as well as ministering prophetically and praying for the sick.

Choir anniversary
The Spirit of Mt. Calvary will be celebrating their choir anniversary on Saturday, April 16, at 6 p.m. All choirs, praise teams and soloists are invited. On Sunday, April 17, the anniversary will continue with the Delaware Gospel Quintets in concert at 4 p.m. The public is invited. There will be a free will offering. Location will be at Mt. New church forming
The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America is considering a new congregation in Seaford. On Saturday, April 9, 3 p.m., an informational meeting will be held at the Seaford Library. The Reformed Presbyterian Church believes: God controls all aspects of life; the Bible is God’s perfect word; belief in Jesus is essential for salvation; Christ rules from heaven, calling individuals and nations to recognize his authority; worship is directed to God, and directed by God’s Word, including singing Psalms, reading, preaching and praying the scriptures. Union UMC yard sale

Galestown Hymn Sing
The Galestown (Md.) United Methodist Church will have its annual spring hymn sing on Sunday, April 24, at 2 p.m., featuring the Sacred Sounds Gospel Blue Grass Singers.
