Dinner and auction April 6
St. John’s Community Dinner Theater and Auction is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, in St. John’s Fellowship Hall, Pine Street, Seaford. A Silent auction will be held during dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a regular auction until 7 p.m.
Dinner music will be provided by Johnny Tamosaitis. The dinner will include prime rib or chicken, dessert and beverage. Musical theater from 7 to 8 p.m. will feature Tex and Mary Ann Young and the Lights of Home, Rob Harmon, Robin Marine and Gene Pryor, and the South Philly Mystery Guest Singer.

Body & Soul Aerobics
Burst into Spring with new energy and a new level of fitness with Body & Soul Christian Aerobics. Body & Soul will begin its six-week spring session “Praise Forevermore” on Monday, April 8, at the Atlanta Road Alliance Church in Seaford. Body & Soul offers energizing dance aerobics as well as strength training and conditioning all set to upbeat Contemporary Christian Music. Classes are available on Monday and Thursday evenings from 7-8 p.m. or on Friday mornings from 9-10 a.m. All ladies are invited to come and try a free class. Seaford Library has forms
Tax forms for Federal and State are available in the foyer of the library. AARP tax aide will offer free tax counseling and preparation for seniors and low income on Mondays until April 8, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Space is limited so call early and ask to speak to Mrs. McDonnell to arrange a time.
Dessert Card Party
Members of the Women of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Seaford, are completing plans for the annual dessert/card party to be held Tuesday, April 9 in the Parish House from 7 to 9:30 p.m.
Sarah Quick, ECW president, and Key Truitt, vice president, encourage area residents to come out and enjoy this special evening. Betty Myers and Mildred Wells serve as co-chairmen, Aileen Watkins is publicity chair and Virginia “Mike” Barton is dessert chairman.
Fresh baked desserts prepared by the Women of St. Luke’s will be available and is included in the $5 ticket price. Table prizes will be awarded, with all profits to be used for the continuing Outreach programs sponsored by the ECW.
Book presentation, signing
The Delaware Heritage Commission and the Seaford District Library will have a presentation and book signing by Richard B. Carter., on April 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. “Clearing new ground: the life of John G. Townsend” is a book about a former Delaware Governor. Stop by and listen to this fascinating story of the Governor from Selbyville.
Kiwanis Club scholarships
The Kiwanis Club of Seaford will be offering two scholarships to graduating high school seniors residing in the Seaford School district. Scholarship applications are available from the Seaford Senior High School Guidance Department or by contacting Fred Glime at 302-629-3652 or Ron Breeding at 302-629-9173. Application deadline is April 5.
