Macedonia A.M.E. ensemble
The Calvary Baptist Ensemble of Dover, under the direction of Henry Green, will perform at Macedonia A.M.E. Church, 416 North St., Seaford, on Saturday, April 3, at 6 p.m. A free-will offering will be taken.

Gospel Concert at Christ UMC
Bruce Willey and “God's Band” will be appearing at Christ United Methodist Church, 510 South Central Ave., Laurel, on Palm Sunday, April 4, at 6 p.m. The band consists of leader Bruce Willey as well as Phil Perdue, Derick Perdue and Jenn Price. “God’s Band” will be singing old hymns as well as some of their own original music. There is no admission, but, a love offering will be taken for the band. For more information contact Nancy Riggin at 875-5539.

Epworth Quartet in concert
The Epworth Quartet will perform at Woodland United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 4, at the service at 7 p.m. The Epworth Quartet has been singing for 41 years. There will be a dessert treat after the service and all are invited. For further information call 875-9124.

St. Paul’s UMC adds service
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Laurel is going to hold two services Sunday morning. Worship services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m., with Sunday School at 10 a.m. These changes will begin Sunday, April 4, and will continue on Easter Sunday, April 11. It will be decided if it is to continue beyond that date.

St. Luke’s Holy Week
At St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Palm Sunday, April 4, there will be one celebration at 9 a.m. with a blessing of the palms, celebrating Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. Reading will be the complete story of the Passion. Also at this service the Rector Jeanne Kirby will commission the vestry members, four of whom were newly elected at the annual meeting in January. On Wednesday, April 7, there will be an Agape pot-luck supper in the Parish Hall followed by celebration of Holy Eucharist at 7 p.m. in the church. On Thursday, April 8, at 7 p.m., Maundy Thursday service with the celebration of the institution of the Eucharist at the last supper and the stripping of the altar. On Good Friday, April 9, will be Solemn Liturgy at noon with reserved Holy Communion. The Stations of the Cross will be observed at 7 p.m.
St. Philip’s Holy Week
St. Philip’s Episcopal Church , Laurel, will have the following services during Holy Week: Sunday, April 4, Palm Sunday, procession of Palms and Holy Eucharist, at 9:30 a.m. Celebrant - Fr. Larry Miller. Thursday, April 8, Maundy Thursday, Eucharist and Stripping of Altar, at 7 p.m. Celebrant - Fr. Jack Chamblin. Friday, April 9, Good Friday, at noon, Stations of the Cross, with lay readers Ray Guest and Ken Athey. Sunday, April 11, Easter Sunday, Holy Eucharist, at 9:30 a.m. Celebrant - Fr. Jack Chamblin.

Asbury UMC Services
Asbury United Methodist Church, near Hardscrabble, will observe Palm Sunday, April 4, with a special service at 7 p.m. Pastor Robert Gray will be speaking. Shelly Scott Erskine will be providing the special music. The Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. will feature special music by Cathy Gorman, a brief message by Pastor Gray followed by communion. This Maundy Thursday candlelight communion has been a tradition of Asbury for many years. The Easter Sunrise Service will be at 8 o’clock with light refreshments following the service.

Christ Evangelistic Church
Paul and Susie Luchsinger, sister of Reba McEntire, will be at Christ Evangelistic Church on April 9, at 7 p.m. for the Good Friday service, on Saturday, April 10, at 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., for the Couples Conference, and on Sunday, April 11, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m., for Easter Services.

Women of Victory Conference
The women at First Baptist, Lighthouse (COGIC), St. Mark’s United Methodist and St. Paul’s A.M.E. Zion churches invite all women (ages 13 and older) to attend their first joint Women of Victory Conference to be held on Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15, at the First Baptist Church on the corner of Delaware Avenue and Booth Street, in Salisbury, Md. Registration fees are $50 for individual registrant and $75 for mother and daughter. The Friday evening worship service will begin at 7 o’clock with preaching from the Rev. Lula G. Williams, Missionary supervisor of the Mid-Atlantic II Episcopal District, A.M.E. Zion Church. The Saturday agenda will begin at 8 a.m. with Intercessory Prayer and continental breakfast. Lunch will also be served. Workshops will be presented by Queen Esther Snell, Elder Sharon Sampson, Mother Diana Banks, Millicent Williams-Thomas, Mother Lee Van Zandt, and the Rev. Dr. Dennis Proctor.
