Rainbow Rally scheduled
On Saturday, March 25, at 6 p.m., the 10th annual Rainbow Rally will be held at Mt. Calvary A.M.E. Church, Concord, sponsored by the homecoming choir. For more information, contact Otelia Oliver at 629-9722.

Trinity plans revival services
Trinity United Methodist Church near Trap Pond, Laurel, will hold spring revival services Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26. Mark Allen of Seaford will speak. Services will begin nightly at 7 p.m.

Minister to discuss the ark
The Rev. Richard Greene of Frostburg, Md., who has spoken on television programs including the 700 Club, will speak Saturday, March 25, 7 p.m. at Eagle's Nest Fellowship Church, Milton. His topic will be "The Rebuilding of Noah's Ark."
He will also speak at Seaford Wesleyan Church "The Ark," US 13, Seaford, Sunday, March 26, at 11 a.m.

Lent service is planned
A Service of Evensong will be held Sunday, March 26, at 4 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, King Charles Avenue and Laurel Street in Rehoboth. The choir, under the direction of Peter T. Huggins, will present a program of music for the Lenten season. Featured soloists will be Erin Williams, Geoff Thompson and Michael Thompson. A reception will follow. For details, call 227-2109.

Church members write stories
Christ United Methodist Church, Laurel, has printed a booklet of devotionals containing personal experiences written by members of the church.
About 55 members were involved in compiling "Lenten Devotional 2000." They are available at the church, 510 Central Ave., Laurel, from 9 a.m. till noon, or by calling 875-4233.

St. Luke's celebrates Lent
St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Front Street, Seaford, is holding services on Wednesday evenings through Lent.
The services begin with evening prayer at 5:30 p.m., followed by supper in the parish house. The Stations of the Cross are observed at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary.
The Rev. Jeanne W. Kirby is assisted by members of the parish who serve as subdeacons, chalicists and acolytes. Women of the parish provide the suppers.

Christ UMC to host speaker
The Rev. Dr. R. Jervis Cooke will speak at Christ United Methodist Church, Central Avenue in Laurel, Wednesday, March 29, at 7:15 p.m.
Cooke was born in Wilmington and educated in Baltimore, Md. He received a B.A. degree (cum laude) from Washington College, Chestertown, Md.; master of divinity degree, Drew University, Madison, N.J.; and an honorary doctor of divinity degree from Western Maryland College, Westminster, Md. His first pastoral assignment was in 1939.
He has had varied assignments, including St. John's, Seaford; Trinity, Salisbury, Md.; and Newark United Methodist Church, Newark. He served as a district superintendent, a Conference Council on Ministries director and on major general boards of his denomination. He was twice Favorite Son nominee for the Episcopacy. He was president of Wesley College in Dover for six years. He retired in 1983 and was named president emeritus.
He married Mary Frances Roe in 1944 in Cordova, Md. They have five children, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Cookes have resided in an apartment at the Methodist Manor House in Seaford since April 1993.

Living Water plans meetings
Al and Karren Hamm, co-pastors of Palmstown Church in Carlisle, Pa., will speak at Living Water Church March 31 through April 2. There will be an open meeting Friday, March 31, at 7:30 p.m.
Karren Hamm will conduct a women's mini-retreat on Saturday, April 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A light breakfast and lunch are included and reservations may be made with Joyce Cooper (875-1405). The cost of the retreat is $10. Al Hamm will speak at a men's rally at 7:30 p.m.
Both Hamms will speak at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, April 2.

St Stephen's dinner set
A chicken and crust dinner will be held Saturday, April 1, from 4 to 7 p.m., at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church, Camelot Hall, 103 E. State St., Delmar. Cost for adults will be $7 and for children ages 6-12, $3.50. Children 5 and under will be admitted free. Carryouts will be available for $7.

Yard sale will help Hospice
Christ Lutheran Church, Shipley and Spruce streets, Seaford, will hold a yard sale Saturday, April 1, 7 a.m. to noon, sponsored by Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) branch 3379. All proceeds will be matched by AAL and presented to Delaware Hospice. To rent space, call Emmitt Lineweaver at 629-2495. Space will rent for $10 per 100 square feet.

New Testament seminar set
"A Walk Thru The New Testament," a seminar for adults and youth, will be held at Atlanta Road Alliance Church on Sunday, April 2, from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. This seminar is sponsored by Atlanta Road Church and Grace Baptist Church.
In this seminar the New Testament is taught by matching hand signs and motions with key events, people and concepts of scripture. The fee is $12. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 629-7693. The church is located on Atlanta Road, 1 and 1/2 miles north of the Nylon Capitol Shopping Plaza, next to Seaford Animal Hospital.
