Adult Plus+ plans trips
The following excursion is sponsored by the Adult Plus+ program at Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus:
• April 16 - to the Kennedy Center for a tribute by Liza Minelli to her father, Vincente Minelli, master of the movie musical. Included will be songs from "Meet Me In St. Louis", "Ziegfield Follies," "An American in Paris" and "Gigi." Cost for Adult Plus members is $100; general public, $105. Events sought for calendar
Organizations hosting upcoming events can apply for a free listing in the Summer/Winter Delaware Calendar of Events, published by the Delaware Tourism Office (DTO). The calendar will provide detailed listings of events held between July and December 2000 as well as abbreviated listings of annual events held between January and December.
Events must be of interest to Delaware visitors and designed to attract and accommodate at least 500 people. Call Carolyn Courtney at 302-672-6841 to receive a complete list of the calendar guidelines and an entry form. Information must be received by DTO, 99 Kings Highway, Dover, DE 19901, by March 27.

A look at native history
Award-winning Native American singer, songwriter and storyteller Gladstone will present "Native Reflections in History and Song" Thursday, March 23, 7-8:30 p.m., at the Carter Partnership Center, Delaware Technical & Community College, Owens Campus.
Sponsored by the Adult Plus+ program, the performance will explore Native American myths, legends and culture. Pre-registration is required; refreshments will be served. Cost for Adult Plus+ members is $3; for the general public, $5.

Players to do classic mystery
Second Street Players will present "The Mousetrap," an Agatha Christie classic, March 24, 25, 26, 31 and April 1 and 2.
The mystery-thriller is the longest-running, continuously performed theatrical production in English-speaking theatre, having been seen on stages for more than 40 years. The players' production is the first in southern Delaware in many years.
All seats are $12; senior citizens and students pay a discount price of $11 for matinees only.

Scholarship deadline is April 3
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will award one scholarship in the Laurel, Seaford or Woodbridge School District in the amount of $1,000. This scholarship is open to senior women who will be enrolled in a four-year college working toward a BA or BS degree. A minimum 2.8 GPA is required.
An application form with accompanying cover letter detailing how to apply is available in each high school guidance office. Deadline for applications is April 3. For further information call Jean Gandek at 629-2255.

Bringing radio to life
The Rehoboth Art League and Possum Point Players' Ad Hoc Touring Company will recreate two old-time radio comedies at the art league's chambers.
The touring company has prepared two "Fibber McGee and Molly" re-enactments.
Performance dates are Saturday, April 1, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and include a wine and cheese intermission. Reservations are bing taken at the Possum Point Players' ticketline at 856-4560.

AARP tax help offered
Free tax counseling and preparation for all taxpayers with middle and low income, with special attention to those age 60 and older, is available from AARP Tax-Aide through April 11.
AARP Tax Aid volunteers, trained in cooperation with the Internal Revenue Service, will offer help with personal income tax returns at the Nanticoke Senior Center, Seaford, 629-4939, and Methodist Manor House, Middleford Road, Seaford, 629-4593. Service also is available for homebound individuals. Call for dates and times.

VFW to serve breakfast

Club to host shoot
Nanticoke Sportsman's Club will hold its annual 2-day 3-D shoot on March 25 and 26, featuring 30 Makenzie targets.
Casual registration will be until 11:30 a.m. Awards will be given in all categories.
There will be novelty shoots, 50/50 drawing, food and beverages. No range-finders and no alcohol allowed.

Grange to hold dinner
On Monday, March 27, the Reliance Grange #58 will have a covered dish supper at Gethsemane Church Fellowship Hall, Reliance, at 6:30 p.m. Following supper, Derby Walker from the Agriculture Department will speak.
