Tickets on sale for bingo
Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Group will sponsor Longaberger basket bingo Saturday, March 24, 6 p.m. at the church parish hall. All proceeds will help the youth group to travel to the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indiana. Tickets in advance cost $20, or $25 at the door. AAUW to mark 60 years
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Seaford branch Saturday, March 24, 1 p.m. at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. Following the luncheon, local historian Wright Robinson will talk about life in 1940 when the branch was founded. Ed Okoniwicz, story teller from the University of Delaware, will speak on the history, romance and mystery of our area. Recognition will be given to past presidents, scholarship winners and other recipients of the branch's funded programs. Branch history, exhibits and awards will be presented. Republicans plan gathering
The Seaford Women's Republican Club will meet Thursday, March 22, at the Seaford Golf and Country Club at 10:30 a.m. Donald Birch of Merrill Lynch will speak on President Bush's tax cut. For details, call Anne Nesbitt at 628-7788.

Epworth registration open
Epworth Christian School, Sycamore Road, Laurel, invites families to visit the campus on Thursday, March 22. A general information session begins at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, followed by an open house until 8:30 p.m. In its 22nd year of operation, Epworth has an enrollment of 315. Scholarship deadline April 25
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit #19, Laurel, is giving two $500 scholarships to deserving seniors at Laurel High School. To request scholarship applications call Sheila Littleton at 875-4354. Deadline for scholarship applications is April 25.

Epworth plans dinner theater
The senior class at Epworth Christian School, Laurel, will hold "Meet Me at Luigi's," an interactive dinner theatre production, Friday, March 23. The evening includes a fast-paced comedy presented by actors who also double as waiters for the full-course, home-cooked Italian meal. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children under 10 and $30 for a family of four.

Show will honor Disney
Baystar Productions, Inc. will present a salute to Disney Sunday, March 25, at the CHEER Community Center in Georgetown. "Once Upon A Dream, The Music of Disney" features 26 songs. Marjorie Eckerd and Geoff Thompson co-produce and co-direct the show. The champagne brunch begins at 1:30 p.m. and the performance follows at 2:30. The center is located at the intersection of US 9 and Sandhill Road, Georgetown. Price for brunch and show is $32.95 per person. Show only is $15 per person. Breakfast is monthly event
Galestown Ruritan Club holds a breakfast buffet the fourth Sunday of the month from 7 to 10 a.m., at the Galestown Community House. This month's breakfast will be March 25. Cost is $5 per person; carry-outs available.

Preschool registration open
St. John's Preschool, Pine and Poplar streets in Seaford is accepting registrations for the two-year-old program as well as for the afternoon session of the 4-5 year old program. St. John's is a Christian-based preschool. Call 629-2289 for registration information.

Calio to address Democrats
The Western Sussex Democrat Club will meet Monday, March 26, 6:30 p.m. at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, South Central Avenue, Laurel. A covered-dish dinner will be included. Frank Calio, director of economic development for Sussex County, will speak.

Membership luncheon set
The Sussex County Membership of the GFWC-Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs will hold a luncheon Thursday, March 29, at the Sussex Pines Country Club, Georgetown, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by the Delaware Humanities Forum featuring the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein.
