Tickets on sale for bingo
Our Lady of Lourdes Youth Group will sponsor Longaberger basket bingo Saturday, March 24, 6 p.m. at the church parish hall. All proceeds will help the youth group to travel to the National Catholic Youth Conference in Indiana. Tickets in advance cost $20, or $25 at the door. AAUW to mark 60 years
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Seaford branch Saturday, March 24, 1 p.m. at the Seaford Golf and Country Club. Following the luncheon, local historian Wright Robinson will talk about life in 1940 when the branch was founded. Ed Okoniwicz, story teller from the University of Delaware, will speak on the history, romance and mystery of our area. Recognition will be given to past presidents, scholarship winners and other recipients of the branch's funded programs. Branch history, exhibits and awards will be presented. Indoor turkey shoot planned
An indoor turkey shoot will be held at Nanticoke Sportsmen's Club, Bethel-Concord Road, Saturday, March 17, noon. Cost is $2 per round. Food and drink available. For details, call 629-9199..

County auxiliary to meet
The Ladies Auxiliary of Sussex County Volunteer Fire Association will hold their meeting at the Millville Fire Station on March 21., 7 p.m.

Millsboro bridal show set
AThe Central Sussex Bridal Show will be held at the Millsboro Civic Center, Wilson Highway and Mitchell Street, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 18. Sponsor is the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce. Featured will be florists, photographers, caterers, disc jockeys, travel agents and vendors who provide goods and services to newlyweds. Fashion shows will feature formal wear from Candlelight Bridal and Boot Scootin' Western World. Flowers for all shows will be done by Village Green Florist, Millsboro. Numerous door prizes will be awarded. Tickets are $3.50, available at the door. Children under 6 enter free. For more information call 934-6777.

Learn about new high school
An informational night for the Delmarva Christian Senior High School will be Friday, March 16, 6:30 p.m. at St. John's United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Pine and Poplar streets, Seaford. Closing on the land for the high school took place in January. The school will be built on 42 acres on Airport Road in the Georgetown area. Epworth registration open
Epworth Christian School, Sycamore Road, Laurel, invites prospective families to visit the campus on Thursday, March 22. A general information session begins at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, followed by an open house until 8:30 p.m. Parents of prospective kindergartners will be able to visit the classroom and learn about Epworth's reading readiness program. Application packets will be available. In its 22nd year of operation, Epworth has an enrollment of 315. There are openings in all grades. For more information, call 875-4488.
